It’s that time of year again!

The CommUNITY Education’s Annual MLK, Jr. Civil Rights Immersion Trip is an experiential learning opportunity for
IUB students sponsored by the CommUNITY Education Program within Residence Life. The group will visit educational and cultural institutions to learn about communities in the Chicago area and how communities share their stories with others through art and media. All are welcome to apply!

Immersion Trip applications open from
October 20 8:00am-November 3 11:59pm.

While preference is given to those living in residence halls, all IU students are welcome to apply!

Want to make a real difference on campus? Become a CommUNITY Educator (CUE) with IU Housing next year — and grow your leadership, connection, and impact.

As a CUE, you’ll:
-Plan and lead social, educational, and identity-based programs
-Foster inclusive community in residence halls
-Serve as an ally, advocate, and resource for your peers

Applications open October 1, 2025
Join an info session (Oct. 2, 7, 13) to hear from current CUEs and get your questions answered.

Submit your application — and the required Canvas training — by 11:59 pm on October 15, 2025

To be eligibility you must be a IU undergraduate, GPA 2.5+, and have a good student conduct record, previous residence hall experience is not required

In return? You’ll receive a stipend, a single room on campus, and a 7-day meal plan — all while gaining invaluable skills for your future.
