American Legion Burton Woolery Post 18 Our Mission is to support veterans and active duty members of the Armed Force of the USA and the communities they live in.
(1)

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as an advocate for American veterans. Our principle mission is to support members of the armed forces of the USA both active and veteran. To this end we provide a place where they can relax and enjoy time with family and friends. You too can be a member if you have a close relative who was in the armed forces. Mother, Father, G

reat grandfather all entitle you to be a part of this organization. Most of our events are open to everyone in the community that we are a part of. Our Saturday benefit breakfast has provided thousands of dollars to local groups like sports teams, animal and people rescue organizations and school groups. 80 percent of the money gathered at these fund raisers go to the organization represented. We have a great restaurant which is open to the public for lunch and Saturday breakfast. Seating is available in the sunroom and adjacent deck. Our post is situated on a hill top surrounded by wooded grounds, which provides a peaceful break from the busy street just yards away.
