Protective Order Project POP at the IU Maurer School of Law helps empower survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking by obtaining civil protective orders.

The Protective Order Project (POP) is a pro bono project run by law students at the IU Maurer School of Law. We are dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in seeking civil protective orders. We provide these services free of charge for members of the community, both on and off campus. Since 1989, POP has helped hundreds of IU students, faculty, staff, and

On April 2 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM in room 125, the Protective Order Project is hosting a Special Victims Panel featuring professionals who work closely with survivors of domestic violence and related harms. Panelists include Jessi Hollingsworth (Domestic Violence Victim Advocate), Sally Thomas (Director of Victim Resources at Indiana University), Maryann Williams (Faculty Director of the Protective Order Project), and Raeanna Moore (Monroe County Deputy Prosecutor). The panel will bring together legal and allied professionals to discuss their work supporting survivors, navigating the legal system, and building careers in special victims’ services. This will be 1 POP point.
