Local Underground Railroad history program Thursday!
Join Museum Librarian Bill Kemp this Thursday, November 13, for an illustrated overview of local Underground Railroad history. The program is sponsored by Barn Keepers, a McLean County local heritage and preservation group. Too often the true history of the Underground Railroad has been obscured by legend and lore. Bill will separate fact from fiction and delve into real stories of freedom seekers on the Underground Railroad passing through McLean County. The program, free and open to the public, begins at 7:00 p.m., and will be held at the McLean County Farm Bureau building off Route 9 near the entrance to the fairgrounds. The address is 2242 Westgate Dr. in Bloomington. Refreshments will be served. See you there!
