Subject: Volunteers Needed – Tornado Disaster Relief Effort
Dear Lions of District 1BK,
In the wake of the recent tornadoes that touched down in the Kankakee area, many
families in our communities are facing unexpected hardship and loss. As Lions, we
know that when our neighbors need help, we answer the call.
We are asking for volunteers this Saturday at 9:00 AM at Northfield Square Mall in
Bourbonnais. Together, we will be packing family relief totes filled with essential items
that will be distributed to families affected by the storm.
The family totes will be distributed on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist
Church in Aroma Park to help those who were impacted begin the recovery process.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the Lions of District 1BK to come together in service
and demonstrate the heart of Lionism. Whether you can help pack totes on Saturday or
assist with distribution on Sunday, your time and compassion will make a meaningful
difference.
Let us continue “Planting the Seeds of Lionism” by supporting our neighbors during this
difficult time.
Please respond to DG Denise via text or phone call at 815-295-5059 if you are able to
volunteer.
Thank you for your dedication to service and for always stepping up when our
communities need us most.
In Service,
Lion Denise Lowe
