The Dairy Business Innovation Grants are OPEN!

The Dairy Business Innovation Alliance distributes grants to dairy farms and processors in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Since 2020, DBIA has allocated over $26.5 million in grant dollars in nearly 320 awards to dairy farmers and processors.

This grant program will welcome applications in topic areas that have the potential to positively impact the dairy industry as a whole. Applicants may apply to both the Dairy Business Builder grant and the Dairy Industry Impact grant if they have two separate projects related to DBIA goals and are eligible to receive awards from both programs in one grant cycle. Awards of up to $100,000 in reimbursable grants will be made.

Applications due: Wednesday, September 30th
Applicants notified by: November 2026

The Dairy Industry Impact grant awards up to $100,000 to a project that has the potential to positively impact the dairy industry as a whole.

This grant program is targeted at small-to-medium size farmers or processors. Projects should be aimed at diversifying on-farm activity, creating value-added products, enhancing dairy by-products, or export programs. Awards of up to $150,000 (for large equipment projects, or $100,000 for other projects) in reimbursable grants will be made.

Applicants notified by: November 2026

The Dairy Business Builder grant assists dairy farmers and processors by awarding up to $150,000 to a proposed project.
