Caring for a parent with dementia while raising your own kids or working full-time is its own kind of exhausting, especially when you're also trying to keep up with your own life.
GUIDE is a Medicare program built to give you an actual break from it. It covers up to 80 hours a year of respite care, along with a dedicated guide who knows your family's situation and a 24/7 support line.
Eligibility comes down to your parent's diagnosis and their Medicare coverage, not your living situation or income.
You may be eligible if your parent has Original Medicare, Parts A and B, and a diagnosis of dementia, Alzheimer's, or a related condition.
