Hoosier Hills Food Bank (HHFB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which collects, stores, and distributes food to non-profit organizations that feed the hungry in Brown, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Orange, and Owen Counties in Indiana. At the Hoosier Hills Food Bank we think the least we can do is help to "take the hunger out of poverty." We support this initiative through community powered food

drives, our Families First Mobile Pantry, our Gardening & Gleaning program, local business partnerships, Meal Share Repack, Plant-A-Row for the Hungry, and USDA commodity programs, such as TEFAP and CSFP.

Eagle Ranch is running a month-long food drive for HHFB all month long!
HHFB serves 6 counties in South central Indiana including Owen where Eagle ranch is located.

Tomorrow, September 4th, we have our CSFP Senior Food Box distribution in Owen County.

This program is not open to the general public.

- Must be 60 years or older AND meet income guidelines.

- Must be an Owen County Resident.

- Must meet federally mandated income guidelines

Qualifying seniors or their pre-approved proxies come to Garrard Chapel Food Pantry from 11 AM - 1 PM to receive your food!

HHFB CEO Julio Alonso and from stand with some of the 36,720 cans of No Salt Added Green Beans delivered to the food bank on Tuesday. The 18 pallets of green beans, weighing in at over 21 tons and one the highest demand dry items requested by food bank partners, were purchased with a $25,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation.

“The Duke Energy Foundation is grateful to proud to support Hoosier Hills Food Bank in its mission to address food insecurity in South Central Indiana. Together we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors.”

Our Development and Volunteer Manager Madison Stratton spent time engaging with colleagues and discussing trends at the Feeding America Philanthropy Conference in Chicago last week. It was great to bounce ideas off of other food banks from around the nation to find ways that we can continue our fight to end hunger.

HHFB stands in solidarity with our fellow Indiana food banks, at least half of which are currently working to alleviate the effects of severe weather and flooding in our state. Thousands of Hoosiers have been impacted, and our network of Feeding America food banks is answering the call with special distributions of food and water across the state.
