On This Day In 2023 Bloomington North beat Southport 42-14 to complete the school's first unbeaten regular season in football for Head Coach Scott Bless. The Cougars fell in the Sectional Semifinals to Bloomington South to finish with a record of 9-1.

In 2012 Bloomington South lost to Carmel 3-2 in the Semifinals of the IHSAA Boys Tennis State Finals at North Central HS in Indianapolis. Senior and 2013 Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Award Winner Ronnie Schneider won his third straight state singles title beating Sophomore Danny Rayl of Park Tudor 6-2, 6-1. Schneider went 83-0 in his last three years took home the Mental Attitude Award and in July 2025 he was Inducted into the Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame.

In 1995 Bloomington North beat Edgewood 28-12 in a regular season Football Matchup at Bloomington North.

On This Day In 2024 Bloomington South beat Martinsville 4-1 to win Class 3A Boys Soccer Sectional Championship at Bloomington South. It's the Panthers 13th Sectional Title in Program History.

In 2012 Bloomington South beat Valparaiso 3-2 in the IHSAA Boys Tennis State Quarterfinals at Carmel HS.

In 1996 Bloomington North finished 9th with a team score of 741 at the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at the Prestwick Country Club in Avon.

On This Day In 2025 Bloomington South beat Terre Haute South 5-1 to win the Class 3A Girls Soccer Sectional Championship at Martinsville for the Panthers 19th Title in Program History.

In 2025 Bloomington South beat Mooresville 7-0 to win the Class 3A Boys Soccer Sectional Championship at Mooresville for the Panthers 14th Title in Program History.

In 2025 Edgewood Won the Western Indiana Conference Girls Cross Country Team Championship and Hannah Crain took home the Individual WIC Championship at Brown County.

In 2019 Bloomington South beat Edgewood 40-6 in a regular season Football Matchup at Bloomington South.

In 1997 Bloomington North's Bess Bowers won the Mental Attitude Award as the Cougars finished 5th with a score of 687 at the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at the Prestwick Country Club in Avon.

In 1996 Bloomington North beat Edgewood 46-22 in a regular season Football Matchup at Edgewood.

In 1996 Bloomington South beat Columbus North 56-13 at Columbus North to finish the Football Regular Season with a 9-0 Record.

In 1986 2012 Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Amy McDonald finished 5th as Junior after winning a playoff with 79 at the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at the Elks Country Club in Muncie.

In 2025 Bloomington South beat Brebeuf Jesuit 38-7 in a Regular Season Football Matchup at Brebeuf Jesuit.

In 2024 Bloomington South beat Bedford North Lawrence 9-0 in the Class 3A Girls Soccer Sectional Semifinals at Terre Haute North. The Panthers lost to Terre Haute South in the Sectional Championship 1-0.

In 1992 Bloomington South shot a 392 in the first round of the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at the Golf Club of Prestwick in Plainfield. The Panthers finished 14th after the first round and missed the cut to advance to the second and final day of the state finals.

In 1987 2012 Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Amy McDonald won IHSAA Girls Golf State Championship with 76 and she took home the Mental Attitude Award. The Panthers finished 7th with a score of 388 at the Golf Club of Prestwick in Plainfield.

Bill Easton is a 2013 Monroe County Sports County Hall of Fame Inductee who competed in Track and Field and then became a coach. Easton was Born in Stinesville on September 13, 1904, and Graduated from Sandborn HS in 1922 competing in track and cross country. His induction into the Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame became the 8th Hall of Fame for the Stinesville native who competed in track and cross country at Indiana University and began his coaching career at Ellettsville and lettered as distance runner at IU under coach Billy Hayes.

Easton started coaching and used Hayes coaching techniques to build consistent national track and cross country powers at Drake (1941-47, including 3 straight NCAA cross country champions, 1944, ’45, ’46) and Kansas, where his Jayhawks won the 1953 NCAA cross country championship and 1959 and ’60 outdoor track championships, and 8 straight times won the Big 8 “track triple” (league champions in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track)

at Kansas Easton won 39 Big 8 team titles overall and his Kansas teams included Olympic gold medalists Al Oerter (discus, a record 4 times), Bill Nieder (shot put), Billy Mills (10,000 meters, only time U.S. athlete to win the event.

Easton coached 32 all-Americans, and 8 Olympians and his Kansas athletes set 4 world records, 14 American records, 4 Olympic records, 7 NCAA records.

Easton retired in 1965 and coached the Mexican Olympic track team in 1968 Games at Mexico City. Easton coached basketball and track at Ellettsville High in 1926-27 and coached Hammond High School to only two IHSAA State track titles in 1938 and 1939. Easton in U.S. Track and Field Hall of Fame and 7 others, including University of Kansas Hall of Fame. The University of Kansas' annual invitational sports event bears his name, Bill Easton Classic.

Bill Easton Passed Away on October 4, 1997, at age 93.

In 2024 Edgewood beat Owen Valley 2-1 in the Class 2A Girls Soccer Sectional First Round at Cascade. The Mustangs lost to Danville 1-0 in the Semifinals.

In 2025 Bloomington South beat Columbus North 3-2 to win the Conference Indiana Championship with a 5-0 conference record in a Regular Season Girls Volleyball Match at Columbus North.

In 2025 Bloomington South beat Terre Haute North 4-1 in the Boys Tennis Regional Semifinals at Brownsburg.

In 2025 Brady Murphy of Bloomington North beat Sean Goss of Owen Valley 6-1, 6-1 in the Boys Tennis Indvidual Singles Tournament at Brownsburg.

In 2024 Bloomington North beat Terre Haute North 4-0 and Bloomington South beat Terre Haute South 10-1 in the Class 3A Boys Soccer Sectional First Round at Bloomington South.

In 1995 Bloomington North finished 6th with a team score of 753 at the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at the Prestwick Country Club in Avon.

On This Day In 2025 Bloomington South beat Bloomington North 2-0 in the Class 3A Boys Soccer Sectional First Round at Mooresville.

In 2025 Edgewood beat Brown County 4-0 In the Class 2A Boys Soccer Sectional First Round at Cascade. Kade Gilchrist set the Edgewood Single Season Scoring Record with 35 goals and scored a hat trick against the Eagles to break the scoring mark.

In 1990 Bloomington South Coached by Janet Britton won the IHSAA Girls Golf State Championship with a score of 371 at the Golf Club of Prestwick in Plainfield. It's the first and only state title for Bloomington South in Girls Golf.

On This Day In 2025 Bloomington South Senior Violet Hall finished 5th place with a time of 25.51 in the Finals of the Women's 200 Meters T 47 Event at the World Para Athletics Championships at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi India. Hall and fellow American High Schooler Kerragan Johnson both finished with a personal best of 25.50 to tie for third place in the second semifinal of the Women's 200 and tied for fifth overall to make the finals. Hall and Johnson are the only two High Schoolers representing Team USA and Hall was the only Indiana Native on the 40 Person Roster.

In 2018 Edgewood beat Cascade 34-7 in a Regular Season Football Matchup at Edgewood.
