Hoosier Trails Council, Scouting America Based out of Bloomington, the Hoosier Trails Council serves 18 counties across south-central Indiana and provides adventures for over 4500 Scouts annually!

The Hoosier Trails Council Service Center is located in Bloomington and serves 18 counties throughout south-central Indiana. The council is divided into four districts, each under the direction of local volunteers and a professional staff member. Our programs are divided into four groups. Cub Scouts are youth in Grades 1-5, or ages 7-10. Scouts BSA are youth who have completed the 5th Grade and ar

e 10 years old or are 11 years old and not yet 18 years old. Venturers are youth who have completed the 8th Grade and are 13 years old or are 14 years old and not yet 21 years old. Explorers are boys and girls who have completed the 8th Grade and are 13 years old or are 14 years old and not yet 21 years old and focus around a particular career field. The Hoosier Trails Council has two camping facilities, Maumee Scout Reservation and Camp Louis Ernst. We provide five weeks of Boy Scout Summer Camp at Maumee Scout Reservation each summer as well as countless district and council activities throughout the year.
