Bloomington Storytellers Guild The Bloomington Storytellers Guild The Bloomington Storytellers' Guild was formed in 1974 to help keep the ancient tradition of oral storytelling alive.

The Guild holds open meetings about six times a year when anyone who is interested in stories and story presentation can join us. Anyone may participate in open auditions for Guild Events, usually in the Fall for our Festival of Ghost Stories and in late winter for our Wintertelling. Guild members are available for performances for a wide variety of audiences and occasions, fees are usually negotiated with individual tellers. Please use the Guild email to request tellers.

Every year storytellers gather at the Library to share warm tales on a cold night, a special concert of traditional and original stories, best enjoyed by adults, teen, and seniors. This is WINTERTELLING.
