September 7th is Labor day, our retirees meeting is the second Tuesday of the month, the 8th. It's kind of a confusing time, but I felt it necessary to post our meeting .

Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Pollitt, 75, of Peoria passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born in Canton on April 25, 1951, to Charles and Eleanor (Hogan) Pollitt. On July 2, 1988, he married his wife of 38 years, Jane (Henninger) Pollitt, in Pekin, and she survives. Also surviving are his four children, Shaun (Megan) Pollitt of Elburn, Nick Pollitt of Lafayette, Indiana, and Eric (Teresa) Pollitt and Laura (Michael) Crosson, both of Peoria. He was also a loving grandfather to Dakoda (Katie), Kolton, Georgia, Geneva, Eden, Gabriel, Madeline and Isla. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Patrick.

Jeff was employed in Quality Inspection at Mitsubishi Motors, where he took great pride in having achieved the highest seniority within the facility. He was a long-time gardener and grew the best tomatoes.
