We are pleased to announce our keynote speaker for World AIDS Day on December 1, 2026, 5:30-7:00pm, IU Bloomington, Biology Building, Room 124.
Join the LGBTQ+ Culture Center for World AIDS Day, an evening of remembrance, reflection, and hope featuring keynote speaker Ace Robinson, M.P.H., M.H.L., Director of Sexual & Gender Minority (Q***r) Wellness at Duke University.
A nationally recognized HIV policy advocate and population health expert, Ace Robinson has spent more than two decades advancing health equity and supporting communities disproportionately impacted by HIV. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles with organizations including the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation in South Africa, and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
In his keynote, “Willing Our Way to End the HIV Epidemic,” Robinson will explore the progress made in HIV prevention and treatment, the challenges that remain, and the collective action needed to build a future free from stigma, discrimination, and health inequities.
Following the keynote, participants will have an opportunity to gather in community as we honor those lost to HIV/AIDS, recognize the resilience of people living with HIV, and recommit ourselves to creating a more just and compassionate future.
HIV & STI Testing (IU Health - Positive Link & Monroe County Health Department) will be provided.
All Indiana University events, groups, activities, educational, cultural, and historical observances welcome all members of the Indiana University community.
