Minnesota Community Health Worker Alliance (MNCHWA) Awarded Rural Health Transformation Program Funding to Strengthen Minnesota’s Rural CHW Workforce.

This investment will strengthen Minnesota's rural CHW workforce by helping MNCHWA design stronger career pathways, better support employers, and develop workforce solutions shaped by the people and communities they are intended to serve.

This five-year federal grant represents an incredible milestone in our ongoing mission to improve health care access, quality, outcomes, and the viability of the CHW field by transforming the healthcare delivery ecosystem through CHW workforce strategies.

We invite rural health leaders, clinical partners, and workforce developers to collaborate with us as this initiative launches.

We were so proud to bring together Community Health Workers, community partners, and supporters from across the state to celebrate the official proclamation of Minnesota Community Health Worker Day by Governor Tim Walz! 📄💙

From inspiring speeches to powerful impact stories shared by CHWs on the Capitol grounds, yesterday was a true celebration of the heart and soul of healthcare in Minnesota.

To every CHW in Minnesota: We see you, we value you, and we thank you for everything you do to keep our communities healthy and thriving. 🙌

This interactive, self-paced online training takes only 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and is designed to help you expand your job opportunities and better serve your community. Upon completion of the course and a brief survey, you’ll earn a certificate of completion and a $50 gift card provided by UMN CEARCH (while supplies last).
