A smile can change everything. ❤️

For someone facing homelessness or hardship, walking through our doors can feel overwhelming. That's why our Guest Services team is there to offer more than assistance. They offer compassion, encouragement, and the reminder that every person is worthy of hope and a second chance.

Help is just the first door. Transformation begins with people who care.

Sometimes the simplest acts of service make the biggest difference. ❤️

Serving a meal. Picking up food donations. Greeting guests at the front desk. Keeping our spaces organized.

These may seem like small tasks, but they help create a welcoming environment where life transformation can begin.

We're currently looking for volunteers for:
✅ Meal Service
✅ Food Donation Pick Up
✅ Front Desk Support
✅ Front Desk Organization

This World Homeless Day, we're reminded that homelessness is about more than a lack of housing.

That's why Wheeler Mission Bloomington is more than a shelter.

We provide meals and a safe place to stay, but we also walk alongside our guests as they pursue healing, overcome obstacles, build life skills, and work toward lasting stability.

Every man who comes through our doors has a unique story, inherent value, and the potential for a brighter future. We're honored to serve our Bloomington neighbors by providing not only immediate support, but also pathways to hope and transformation.

Because homelessness doesn't define a person. 💙

A meal and a bed can meet an immediate need. Hope helps address what comes next.
At Wheeler Mission, the hope door is where guests begin working through the deeper challenges that can lead to homelessness, including trauma, addiction, unemployment, and other barriers to stability.
It's a journey that takes time, commitment, and support, but it's where lives begin to change in lasting ways.

Some of the most important conversations at Wheeler Mission happen across a desk, during a walk through the shelter, or in a quiet moment between a guest and a case manager.

When guests come to us, they are often experiencing some of the hardest circumstances of their lives. Our case managers help them navigate those challenges by listening, encouraging, advocating, and connecting them with the tools they need to move forward.

From crisis to confidence. From uncertainty to stability. From homelessness to hope.

That's the power of compassionate case management, and we're thankful for the team members who make life transformation possible every day. ❤️

Just days before entering Wheeler Mission, Don overdosed.

After decades of addiction, homelessness, and feeling trapped by his past, he wasn't sure what the future held. But through the support of Wheeler Mission and a renewed relationship with God, everything began to change.

Today, Don is sober, serving the men around him, and learning to see himself not through the lens of his past mistakes, but through God's grace.

"Wheeler Mission saved my life."

We're honored to walk alongside men like Don as they discover healing, hope, and a future worth believing in.

We loved celebrating our Grand Opening yesterday with the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, community partners, and everyone who showed up to tour the facilities and celebrate with us.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from this community. Together, we will continue to make a lasting difference for our neighbors who need help, hope, and healing.
