We are sadden to announce the passing of our vice-president , Chella Yeakel, Vietnam veteran, U.S. Army, and former commander of Colfax American Legion. Visitation is Friday September 13 , 5-7 pm at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, IL. On Saturday September 14th, Memorial service is at 10 Am followed by interment at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax, with military honors. For more information go to the Colfax American Legion website. Veteran's Day Nov 11, 2023 is 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Memorial. You can watch the ceremonies live at www.VVMF.org/live 1:00pm ET. Diane Evans is a the keynote speaker.

ANG Army Sgt. Jessica Cawvey, 21, Normal, IL . Jessica was with the 1544th Transportation Company. She died October 6, 2004 from an IED, in Falujah, Iraq.
