We are deeply grateful to our speakers for the leadership and expertise they brought to the 2026 State of Healthcare Luncheon.

We were honored to have Luke McNamee, Vice President of Government Relations at the Indiana Hospital Association, deliver an insightful keynote on the impact of OBBBA on Medicaid reimbursements, Medicare, and care delivery.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Tracey Hutchings-Goetz, Monroe County Community Organizer with Hoosier Action, for expertly moderating our panel discussion with local leaders to explore community-driven solutions.

Their contributions were essential to our shared goal of navigating healthcare challenges with strategic, community-focused insight.

Healthcare is facing unprecedented strain, but across south-central Indiana, organizations and leaders are stepping up to change what is possible.

Recently, we gathered at The Woolery Mill for our annual State of Healthcare Luncheon. It was an honor to convene healthcare leaders, policymakers, nonprofit champions, and neighbors to explore how policy changes—like the impact of OBBBA on Medicaid reimbursements—affect local care delivery.

No single organization can navigate these complex changes alone. Our community’s future depends on the partnerships and collaborative structures we build today. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation!

Healthcare inequities affect many communities, including individuals experiencing homelessness.

Barriers like transportation, insurance, unstable housing, and past trauma can make it difficult to access care when it’s needed most.

Bloomington Health Foundation works alongside community partners to support solutions that improve access to care and address the complex factors that impact community health.

Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health is essential to building a healthier community.

As Michelle Gilchrist, CEO of Bloomington Health Foundation, shares, many people still suffer in silence because they fear judgment or believe their struggles are not serious enough to seek help.

Through the Mental Health Collaborative, BHF is working with partners across the community to expand access to care, strengthen resources, and support mental health for all.

Because Bloomington Health Foundation is self-supported through investments, 100% of every gift directly supports our mission in the community.

Small, recurring gifts—$25, $50, or $100 a month—create lasting stability for clinics, food providers, and caregivers already doing the work. When a community moves together, real change lasts.
