For those with a little spare time and wanting to hone their skills as a mentor, here's an interesting project to help an aspiring technologist and researcher:
My name is Jordan Loeser, and I’m a senior at Westfield High School in Indiana. I’m interested in technology and design and where the two intersect, so I am conducting a senior research project to answer a couple of questions about "mobile-first" web development. More specifically, my tentative question is: “How does viewing environment, particularly mobile device usage, affect web content retention and comprehension?” As part of this process, I am looking for mentors with experience in research, writing, web design, or psychology who would be willing to offer a professional perspective on my topic. The project will extend until February, and the schedule is very flexible. At the moment, I imagine contacting a mentor through email or phone every couple of months with progress checks.
