Monroe County Humane Association At MCHA, we strive to advance animal welfare, deepen human-animal bonds, and extend accessible veterinary care and humane education across our community.

MCHA does not oversee an animal shelter or the care of adoptable animals. MCHA offers various programs and services, including our Nonprofit Veterinary Clinic and Pet Food & Supply Pantry. MCHA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization fully funded by private donations, fundraisers, events, and grants. We do not receive funds from tax dollars or national organizations.

This initiative is vital to addressing pet overpopulation and safeguarding the health of our beloved companions. With our shelters consistently overfilled, spaying and neutering is the most effective way to contribute to the well-being of pets and to alleviate the strain on our shelter system.

This month's Mobile Vaccine Clinic will take place at Monroe Fire Station 21 (9094 S. Strain Ridge Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401) on Sunday, June 14. MCHA’s veterinary team of volunteers and staff will be available from 1-3 p.m. with no appointment needed; all are welcome!

MCHA Mobile Vaccine Clinics offer a range of services, including legally mandated rabies vaccines for pets aged 12 weeks and older. Additionally, we provide nail trims, a**l gland expressions, microchips, and preventive measures for flea, tick, and heartworm.

Subsidized pricing is available for clients who show proof of financial hardship or participation in a government assistance program.
