Some of our guest performers regularly perform with sister organizations like Constellation Stage & Screen, Owen County Theatre & Arts Alliance, SING for JOY, Voces Novae Bloomington, and Monroe County Civic Theater. We hope to see folks from all these organizations at the Winery to support and cheer!

Members of Quarryland Men's Chorus will be joining other chorus’s members to perform Resounding Joy: Beethoven 9 at the MAC during Bloomington Symphony Orchestra - Indiana’s concert. Can’t wait to join all these choirs and choruses in a joyful wall of sound!

"Oh, Friends, not these tones! Let us instead tune our voices more pleasantly and joyfully." These are the first words we hear in the finale of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, sung by the baritone soloist before the full choir takes up his call, and written by Beethoven himself rather than the poet Schiller, whose text makes up the famous "Ode to Joy" that follows. Beethoven thus shifts the tone from darkness to light, from disquiet to joy, from strife to harmony. Beethoven's directive was aimed at his audience in 1824, but they are also useful for us now, just over 200 years later — in times of stress and uncertainty, let us turn to more pleasant and joyful music made among friends.
