Stop by The Fiber Arts Center where it’s cool and bursting with beautiful yarns and handcrafted items. Our artist of the month is Carol Parkinson, now retired and an active member of the guild. She is a most amazing sewist creating beautiful doll clothes, home goods and accessories.

The Fiber Arts Center is open Thursday - Saturday, noon until 6 PM. We look forward to seeing you and thank you for supporting local fiber artists.

It was March 2020 when this woman signed the contract with Simon Mall for the space that is now The Fiber Arts Center. Kerry Conway was the driving force that gave The Bloomington Spinners and Weavers Guild a visible space to promote the mission of fiber arts education and a place to showcase the hand crafted items of the members. Kerry died unexpectedly in April 2024. She was an incredible fiber artist and some the yarn collection she left is now being sold at the Fiber Arts Center with the Guild’s proceeds going to the Kerry Conway Education Fund. It’s a vast amount of yarn to sort and tag so check in regularly. Thank you to Kerry’s daughter, Shannon, for her generosity. Kerry continues to inspire us, “You are never too old to learn or try something new.”
