Whether picking out pumpkins from a field or carving fun faces into them with friends, pumpkins show everyone it’s the fall season. What happens when it’s time to say goodbye as they melt on the porch?

Green up Halloween by recycling pumpkins into compost at a free, outdoor Pumpkin Smash offered from 10 am to 2 pm and Rader Family Farms in Normal IL.

It's great to see the Collegiate members engage in these conversations!

On Friday, October 24th, we had four representatives compete at Collegiate Discussion Meet at the Illinois Farm Bureau office here in Bloomington! We were well represented as our members held conversations on environmental and financial stability along with agricultural growth for communities.

We are so proud of Elijah, Zoey, Allie, and Beth for participating and congratulate the final four participants!

Thank you to all of our McLean County First Responders, especially all of our rural volunteer fire departments who sometimes leave their day jobs or get up in the middle of the night to answer emergency calls. Thank you for serving our farmers and rural communities.

USDA to reopen FSA offices nationwide.

USDA announced it will reopen 2,100 Farm Service Agency offices Thursday to resume critical services and release more than $3 billion in delayed farm payments.

McLean County Farm Bureau has raised concerns for more than 8 months about a proposed roundabout on Rt 150 at the intersection of College Ave to IDOT, our state legislators, the town of Normal and Rivian. We remain concerned that new intersection will be a roadblock for farmers in the area as the proposed design does not appear to provide adequate clearance for modern farm equipment to navigate safely.

The McLean County Farm Bureau is expressing disappointment with the redesigned intersection of College Avenue and Rivian Motorway, also also known as Route 150. Under construction, it will be a roundabout.
