It was great to get to chat with so many music lovers after our day-time family concert at the Durham County Public Library and our evening concert at Duke University Chapel :) Thank you very much to our hosts Mallarme Chamber Players and Suzanne Rousso.

We are thrilled to announce that, after much anticipation, our DEBUT album has finally arrived!

Whether you plan to purchase it for yourself or as a meaningful gift for a loved one, we hope this collection of seasonal music will bring joy to your holidays.

Thank you to our collaborators, to the Forgotten Clefs leadership, and to our amazing community of donors and concertgoers for helping us realize this dream.

Thanks so much to the wonderful folks at Boys & Girls Club of Rush County for the awesome shout out they gave us on their social media, as well as for hosting us this month as we presented our Fall 2025 Outreach Week. We loved bringing "The Canterbury Tales" to three venues in South Central Indiana; Boys & Girls Club of Rush County, Stone Belt, and & Girls Club of Lawrence County.

Every outreach week reminds us how important it is to bring classical music into our communities. Thank you so very much to everyone who made this week possible. And we begin scheduling our next outreach week soon, so if there's a school or community venue you'd like to see us in this Spring, let us know by emailing [email protected]

Another exciting CD-related update:

We're thrilled to share that our project audio engineer, Jennifer Nulsen, has just been nominated for her THIRD Grammy Award!! Jenn is up for the category of "Best Engineered Album, Classical" for a recording she mastered for The Cleveland Orchestra early this year!

We are SO happy for Jenn, and we're immensely grateful to continue working with professionals of the highest caliber.

For those who've been following our recording project saga, Forgotten Clefs is very excited to announce that we're on our way to having our FIRST CD FINISHED!! The project has been in the very capable hands of our producer, Indiana-based Grey Larsen, and our editor, New York City-based Jenn Nulsen. These two have been fantastic throughout this process, and we are thrilled to be able to share what we've made very soon!

Now that we've come to the end of the 2024-25 season, Forgotten Clefs has a lot to be thankful for. We gave 2 concerts, organized 2 outreach projects, participated in 1 conference presentation, and recorded our first CD! Our outreach, of which we are particularly proud reached over 700 students in south-central Indiana schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, and libraries. THANK YOU to everyone who made such an amazing year possible.

As many of you know, federal funding for the arts is undergoing major cuts right now. Two major funding sources on which Forgotten Clefs relies to bring all of its programming (but especially its educational outreach) have been either frozen or eliminated. And as we are busy planning future seasons, we need your help.

Now more than ever we need your support. Keep us piping with a gift today. Give online at https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/forgottenclefs or mail a check to Forgotten Clefs, P.O. Box 1694; Bloomington, IN 47402.

Go to paypal.me/forgottenclefs and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.

Earlier this week, C. Keith Collins led us in a very stimulating performance-lecture presentation at the 2025 International Double Reed Society Conference. We so enjoyed working with our guest artists, connecting with so many wonderful Renaissance wind colleagues from around the country, and engaging in some excellent scholarly discourse. Thanks to everyone who came to hear our presentation.

Big news! After an intense and inspiring week, Forgotten Clefs has just wrapped up our first-ever, week-long recording project! We're incredibly proud of the music we've created together, and we can’t wait to share this first CD with you before the end of the calendar year!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this project possible. It was such a heartening collaboration that brought together new and old performance colleagues, a network of fantastic homestay hosts, and a lot of administrative and board support. We owe a special thank you to Indiana-based producer Grey Larsen and New York-based audio engineer Kevin Bourassa for their artistry and professionalism and for keeping the entire process running smoothly so we could make our best music.
