it’s already almost time for our last meeting of the semester!! come hang with us this wednesday 4/27 at 5:30 pm in dunn meadow for an end-of-year picnic! we’ll have snacks, music, sunshine, and fun outdoor games, and you’re welcome to bring some besties or anything to make our picnic even more special :-)

also, on behalf of EESA leadership, we are so proud of you for sticking it through this semester! you deserve to be celebrated and we hope you can join us for a little study break :)

EESA will be at this year’s inaugural Sustainability Fair this Saturday, April 16th from 2-6 pm in Dunn Meadow! We will be joined by other environmental organizations for live music, fun games, and prizes. Learn more about the variety of local environmental activism being done in Bloomington and how you can get involved, all in one place! And, come visit our table for a surprise sweet treat :)

We are looking for a few volunteers to help out at our table throughout the afternoon for an hour or two. If you’ve been wanting to get involved with EESA recently, this is your chance! Please send us a message or email [email protected] if you’re interested.

EESA stands in solidarity with all graduate workers currently on strike and we fully support their unionization efforts. There is simply no environmental justice without workers’ rights, and their historic relationship goes back centuries. We have seen this in farmworkers fighting against exposure to pesticides, garment factory workers resisting the poor working conditions of fast fashion companies, and countless more — most of the time being led by Black, Indigenous, and immigrant communities of color. We encourage our members to educate themselves about this situation and to join us in supporting the Indiana Grad Workers Coalition. There are multiple ways to help, ranging from signing their petition to standing with them on the front lines. Please read more on their website:

Such a fun day! We are so excited about our Earth Day events for 2022 — here are a few of them:
Sustainability Fair! April 16th, 2-6 pm, Dunn Meadow. EESA will be joining other sustainability-oriented student orgs for an afternoon of music, games, and prizes!
Last EESA meeting of the semester! April 20th at 5:30 pm. We were planning on doing something fun outside to celebrate the end of the semester and Earth Day. Message us with anything you'd like to see!

EESA will be meeting tomorrow (4/6) at 5:30 pm on zoom!
We’ll be doing an activity together about our individual carbon footprints and having a discussion on ways we can reduce our carbon emissions. We’ll also start the meeting with some environmental current events — come with any interesting news to share with the group!
We hope everyone is taking care of themselves during this stressful time of the year (can’t believe graduation is in 4 weeks wtf) and we hope to see you! Stay tuned for our plans for Earth Day :)

Hi everyone, reminder that EESA will be meeting tomorrow night! We'll be playing environmental trivia :) Join us at 5:30 pm in Fine Arts Building 102. -

Come join EESA for a fun night of environmental-themed trivia this Wednesday, February 23rd at 5:30 pm! A range of topics will be covered, from sustainable fashion to climate change activists. Everyone is welcome, so feel free to bring a friend or two and form your own team. Pizza will be provided!

We’re excited to be back on campus, and we hope your first two weeks have been great!

As we settled into our schedules, we are happy to announce our first general membership meeting for the semester will be this Wednesday, Jan 26th at 5:30 PM🌱

Join us tomorrow at 6:30 pm in SPEA 272 for a movie night! We will be watching the film Dark Waters (2019), which tells the story of an environmental lawyer making a case against DuPont company after they poisoned a local waterway with harmful chemicals like PFAS. We will have pizza! The film is about 2 hours long, but no worries if you can't stay the whole time.

There is also an optional Q&A beforehand with the lawyer featured in the film, Robert Billott, at 5 pm tomorrow in the SPEA first floor graduate center. More details here:

We will be hosting our regular bi-weekly meeting tomorrow, September 28th at 6:30 pm in SPEA 272! We will be introducing our new officers, discuss our upcoming projects and initiatives this semester, and split up into focus groups based on interest in energy, environment and sustainability.
