(Jefferson St from Towanda east is also included)! Founders' Grove is the best gosh darn neighborhood in all of Bloomington! If you don't live here, you should want to.

FGNA'S ROUTE 66 POKER CHIP RALLY
Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Route 66 by joining us for a cruise down “The Mother Road” – with prizes!

Starting in Bloomington and ending in Lexington, you’ll make 5 stops. At each stop, you’ll draw 3 colored poker chips. The value of each chip color will be determined randomly at the end of the “rally”. You'll then add together the value of the 15 chips you’ve collected to determine your score.

The cost is $5 per participant with the top three scorers receiving prizes.

TO START:
From 1-1:45pm, “score sheets will be available at Parkview Inn. (Participants need to have picked up their score sheet by 1:45pm).

THE ROUTE:
Participants will stop at the following spots, drawing three poker chips at each:
--- (1-1:45pm) Parkview Inn, 1003 S Morris Ave, Bloomington - pick up score sheet and draw 3 chips
--- The Lucca Grill, 116 E Market Street, Bloomington - draw 3 chips
--- Sprague’s Service Center, 305 Pine Street, Normal - draw 3 chips
--- Kick’s on 66, 404 E Jackson Street, Towanda - draw 3 chips
--- (By 3pm) Kemp’s Upper Tap, 305 W Main Street, Lexington - draw 3 chips and learn who has the highest score

Participants will need to be at Kemp’s no later than 3pm at which time we will draw chip values and tally scores to determine the top 3 finishers for prizes.

OF NOTE:
Other than Sprague’s, the 4 stops have food/drink available, so if participants want to eat along the way, they can.

Outside of 303 Leland Street a tree was struck by lightning. It is hazardous from the front of house including sidewalk and parking in the street. A tree professional recommended to not use any pathway around this location until tree has been removed. High winds and storms the next two days compromise this even more. City of Bloomington has been notified about this safety issue but did not barricade this area.

There will be a Founders’ Grove Social starting at 6pm on Friday, June 12, at the home of Melody Bryant (1122 E. Grove Street).

As always, attendees are asked to bring a dish to share, their favorite beverage, and a little cash for the 50/50 raffle. (Venmo is also accepted for the 50/50 raffle.)
