Welcome to our non-business venture! We raise money for local charities and share great pizza.

It started with 5 lbs. of dried Mission figs, which we ran through the grinder and steeped with bourbon and spices, then stuffed into casings. Now they're drying in preparation for a pizza we'll be serving at the Bloomington Community Orchard C***r Fest on October 24th. Follow them for more details and join us there for free pizza, c***r, and who knows what else!

We pulled the soppressata today after around 38% weight loss. It's delicious but we're thinking about increasing the spiciness next time because we like it HOT! We'll probably design a pizza around this for November.... Any suggestions? 🍕 🐒

Wow, we had so much fun making 36 pizzas for Friends of Pizza Monkey this month! "Up in Smoke" featured our smoked brisket with mozzarella and smoked Gouda along with jalapeno and red onion, finished with our sour cherry and chipotle barbeque sauce. Our guests donated $1,135 to Bloomington Community Orchard to support the great work they do to feed and educate our community. We'll do it again next month to raise money for Farm to Family Fund, so follow the link in our bio to get on our mailing list and get involved. 🍕🐒❤️

Prep is finished for tonight's Pizza Monkey. We're looking forward to slinging pies on the party deck and celebrating the $1,100 everyone donated to Bloomington Community Orchard. You folks are amazing and we can't wait to feed you! 🍕 🐒 💕

I tried a new (to me) focaccia recipe from Marcella Hazan's "Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I don't think I've had tri-tip (aka sirloin tip roast) since we lived in California over 20 years ago, but we got this in our Schacht Farm share. I rubbed it with finely ground coffee, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon, then grilled it and enjoyed it with homemade corn tortillas and a Santa Maria salsa. Simple but incredibly flavorful and satisfying.

One week in, the sopressata and finocchiona are mostly covered in white mold, which helps deter bad mold as they continue their weight-loss journey.The waiting is the hardest part 😉
