Monroe County Alternative Social Security Network

Monroe County Alternative Social Security Network Similar to Derrick Jensen, we define sustainability as the ability to sustain life indefinitely without exceeding the carrying capacity of the land.

Mission Statement: The Monroe County Alternative Social Security Network is a collective project building sustainable infrastructure for people's basic needs of food and technology independent of the dominant economic structure. First year goals include; raise in funds an amount equal to one persons project annual livable wage (approx. 20,000) to support the development of infrastructure including

two living spaces for volunteers committed to labor, greenhouse built, honeybees introduced, chickens introduced, annuals developed, perennials started, hoop house space at the present garden, monthly work-share service program started with the goal of building community trust, monthly skill-share meetings, and tapping water. Long term goals include; development of more land in Monroe County with the values and practices upheld by our network, acquisition of dump truck, acquisition of wood chipper, acquisition of saw mill, expansion of skill-share with a focus on natural building methods for guiding infrastructure development, and deep well spike. Any support and every support helps. If a thousand people donated ten dollars even once, we will make significant progress toward our goals. We encourage monthly support to our venmo or paypal.
