We have learned that Critical Friendship, an essential ingredient for learning communities, is best achieved through providi

ng deliberate time and structures to promote adult growth that is directly linked to student learning. Facilitative Leadership skills are needed to engage school communities in this practice and are valuable for all leaders—school leaders, classroom teachers, and district administrators. This site is designed to give you information about Critical Friendship and Facilitative Leadership, keep you updated on News from the National Center and Upcoming Events, connect you nationally to NSRF Centers of Activity, and make resources available to you.

Our Facilitative Leadership Training is a NEW option available as a five-day, on-site experience that ends in certification! We can come to you and work alongside your team, building from your strengths, your context, and the real challenges you all navigate daily!

Together, explore practical ways to:
• work through complex problems,
• lead meaningful, productive meetings,
• navigate conflict with care,
• create clear, actionable next steps,
• and support both group work and 1:1 conversations!
