Joe is AcuSport Education faculty, co-instructs their Cadaver Lab for the Acupuncturist, and built his clinical approach by treating the most complex chronic pain cases at a hospital-based multidisciplinary pain clinic where every patient had already failed conventional care. The Minnesota Acupuncture Association honors the lives and legacies of two women whose contributions helped shape the acupuncture profession in Minnesota.

Dr. Kimberly Fritz, former MAA President and Communications Chair, dedicated decades of leadership, advocacy, and service to our community and profession.

Former Minnesota State Representative Karen Clark championed acupuncture at the Capitol, from co-authoring Minnesota's first acupuncture regulation bill in 1982 to the passage of the 2009 Equal Access to Acupuncture Act.

We are deeply grateful for everything they gave to this profession and our community. Their impact is immeasurable, and they will be profoundly missed.

While this acknowledgment comes later than we would have wished, the significance of their contributions deserves to be recognized and remembered.
