Advocacy work is not free. Your MAA membership directly helped fund our lobbyist, who has been in the room, at the table, and behind the scenes fighting for HF1270 alongside Dr. Nick Dougherty, DAOM, L.Ac. and a dedicated team of advocates.

🎉 WE DID IT. HF1270 passed the full House last night with a vote of 105 to 21 (YES, that is fabulous news!). Our bill was heard at 9pm and every email, every phone call, and every letter you sent made a difference. Your voices showed up in that vote count. 🎉

⚠️ But we are not done yet. There are two weeks left in the session and more work needs to be done!👊

Our companion bill (SF 1746) is now in the Senate omnibus. Small amendments were made during the bill’s journey through House, so the two versions will need to be reconciled before this bill reaches the Governor’s desk.
