You've got just today and tomorrow (New Year's Eve) to check out the show! We're going to take advantage of the sunshine on New Year's Day to bring it all inside!

Also, thank you SOOOO much for stopping by on Christmas Eve! The hot chocolate stand raised over $300!

Half of the money will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the other half will go to Compass Closet (providing brand new clothing for kids in Foster Care throughout Bloomington/Normal). If you loved the show and wanted to make a donation to either of those amazing organizations, check out their pages!

In a year where we feel like we barely got the show up and running due to Max's crazy schedule and some serious technical glitches... we're so glad we got it working and that so many people traveled near and far to see it!

Our fingers are crossed that Max ends up at a college next year that's not too far from here, so we can bribe him with laundry and homemade food to get him to come home on some weekends and put the show together. If not, I'll have to figure it all out!

We're located at 11 Jodi Lane in Bloomington! Swing by if you haven't yet! The show will run until 10pm tonight, and 12:15am tomorrow (Tuesday...but technically Wednesday I guess)

Happy New Year!
-Ben

Merry Christmas Eve!

Tonight our neighbors will be passing out free hot cocoa and accepting donations for St. Jude starting at 7:00pm! Please drive slowly as you come through because kids will be running between cars passing out drinks!

We'll be running the show tonight until midnight tonight!

Hope you can make it by! We're at 11 Jodi Lane in Bloomington, near Ewing Manor. You can enter our neighborhood from either Ebach or Mary Ellen.... and a great spot to watch is across the street on Tami Ct. You might want to do a quick drive by to grab a spot.... sometimes there are parked cars on our street and it looks like they're watching the show, and there are empty spots in front of them!

The show will run through at least New Years day!

{Location and hours are below}

It was a rocky start to the 2024 Christmas season!

Max is a senior at U-High, and has been participating in Marching Band, Speech, and built a massive set for the Fall Play… as well as taking most of his classes at ISU this Fall to get a jump on college for next year. SO….. he’s had very few evenings and weekends to get the show up and running.

We got it all up last weekend and all of the songs were corrupted and Max spent over 16 hours working through every solution with the developers of the software (absolutely nothing changed from last year, so it was really tough trying to figure out what was wrong).

After Max got the show going, then we had the wind storm last week that tore up a bunch of our props… some are still broken and need to be fixed.

With that said… it’s running now!

With the popularity of Wicked, we added a mashup of some of the best songs from Part 1! (We still have a little work to do on it… but it’s up and running!)

The show runs from 5-10pm Weekdays, and 5-11pm on Weekends! Our house is at 11 Jodi Lane in Bloomington. We recommend you look at our address on Google maps… you’ll see that you can come front two different directions, and there is a cul-de-sac across from our house that is an excellent place to watch the show!

As always, please turn off your headlights, and pull forward as best you can (the car in front of you might be a parked car with no one in it! Do a drive by… you might get a better spot!). And, consider others: If you pull up right in front of our house, you may be blocking the view of someone on the opposite side of the street. It’s better to watch from the other side!

Thanks for coming by! Please be kind to our neighbors and don’t block driveways or play music loud (or throw trash out on the street).

See you soon! Take lots of pictures and tag us on FB and IG!

Soooooooo…. Normally we’d be posting about how you should be turning your headlights off, and to pull forward when you have the opportunity.

But instead, we have to post that the show isn’t finished yet.

We’ve got 95% of the hardware up, which is enough for us to launch the show… but we’re running into some significant software issues. Later this evening, Max is going to wipe EVERYTHING and start over. Hopefully it’ll be up and running tomorrow (Saturday, 11/30)

Thanks for your patience! We’ll make it worth your wait!

Also…. Big thanks to Dan Cox, owner of David Smith Radon Remedies. For years now he’s been our “go-to” guy to keep Max away from the absolute peak of the roof. This year, he helped us install “permanent” track on our house… hopefully speeding up our install next year when Max goes off to college.

In the meantime, hop on www.foster.tree and make a donation (or grab a tag) for a present for a kid who’s in Forster care! One week left to get those presents and make donations!

Thanks! We’ll update you tomorrow if we’re up and running!

Not Your NORMAL Christmas Light Show!

STAY TUNED FOR 2020 START DATE! (PLEASE READ BELOW FOR ADDRESS, INFO, ETC)

On November 21st, 2019 13 Year Old Max Miller (with the help of his dad) launched a Facebook Fundraiser to help create this show. With the help of around 50 different donations through Facebook, gofundme, and Venmo, we were able to quickly create the show you see now!

For our neighbors, PLEASE:

1. ENTER FROM BEECH STREET. You will be across the street from our home. More people will be able to watch it this way. We have possibly the worst street possible to have this show... mostly because of the streetlights in the middle of our road.
