Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington - AAGB Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington (AAGB), founded in 2011, links artists, organizations, and patrons to boost the arts.

In 2025, AAGB became Pillar Arts, continuing to serve our arts community and support local artists and organizations. The AAGB was formed in August 2011 with a mission of strengthening and sustaining the arts by connecting artists, cultural organizations, and artistic endeavors with patrons of the community. This organization is an alliance of artists, art organizations, and arts advocates committ

ed to furthering the arts in the Greater Bloomington Community. The goal of the Arts Alliance is to provide a forum for artists and art organizations to establish the global needs of the arts community, set priorities, and generate advocacy to stimulate the implementation of solutions. The Alliance acknowledges that the arts are an essential element of an enriched life. It supports the value of art; that art has an economic value as well as an intrinsic value, and therefore, supports the goal of payment to artists for their work. Spend a day exploring expressive oil painting in a workshop with award-winning impressionist Jason Bailey at Pillar Arts Alliance Center in College Mall. 🎨 From a morning demo to personalized guidance in the afternoon, you’ll learn techniques to capture light, color, and atmosphere.

This small, intimate class is perfect for artists looking to refine their plein air and studio painting skills. Students should bring their own easels and supplies (recommended list will be provided to registrants).
