Thank you to everyone who joined us Thursday for the 7th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Community Tribute at Maple Grove Central Park.

Law enforcement, volunteers, community partners, and all who came to remember: in every song and every candle, we heard their voices.

And as the sky lit up over Memory Lane at day’s end, our guardian angels felt close. 💜

Yesterday, I attended the Maria's Voice vigil honoring victims of domestic violence and standing in solidarity with survivors. Domestic violence has a devastating impact on individuals, families, and our communities. We must continue working to protect survivors, hold abusers accountable, and ensure everyone has access to the resources and support they need to live safely. Thank you to everyone who came together to remember those we have lost and support those affected by domestic violence.

Today those hands belong to Joy and Elaine, friends who showed up early to help get everything ready for tonight. Thank you both. 💜

Join us this evening for the 7th Annual Community Tribute, where we remember the Minnesotans lost to domestic violence and commit to preventing the next loss.

🕔 5–6 pm: Memory Lane
🕕 6–7 pm: Program
📍 Phenow Pavilion, Central Park of Maple Grove, 12000 Central Park Way

Why Maria’s Voice? Because Maria still has a voice. 💜

Maria was a daughter, sister, friend, and so much more to the people who loved her. Her life was taken by domestic violence, but her story did not end there.

Today, Maria’s legacy lives on through education, prevention, and every conversation that helps someone recognize the signs of abuse.

At this week’s Community Tribute, we’ll honor Maria and all those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence.

Their lives matter. Their stories matter. And their voices live on. 💜
