What a fun trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to see how they are racing towards zero emissions! We learned so much about the changes being made at the IMS to eliminate unnecessary waste, lower venue emissions, and implement renewable energy technologies. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we had a wonderful first site visit to Switchyard Park! πŸŒ³πŸ‚πŸŒŽ
We learned about the park’s community engagement strategies, the native planting processes, and the steps taken to achieve LEED certification for the main pavilion. Special thanks to Mr. Marler for sharing his time with us and to the Switchyard Team for hosting!
