“The JEWISH SOUL HAGGADAH … Where Heaven and Earth Touch” by Bruce David includes:
A project decades in the making, this Haggadah is the culmination of more than thirty years of work. It is David’s life efforts with his art to reach others with the values and importance of the Jewish legacy.

Besides the art, the Haggadah contains contemporary stories, poems, prayers and meditations which David has written throughout the years. It combines relevant modern issues, along with the understandings of our historical legacy, in totally unique ways of sharing the Passover story.

This approach is designed to offer a Passover guide that all can benefit from on different levels. It will hopefully inspire, educate and entertain those who read it.

SHABBAT SHALOM, AM YISRAEL CHAI, HAG PURIM SAMEACH (Happy Purim) and L’CHAYIM (to life)! Always standing up for Israel and our Jewish family!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?
EVEN for PURIM, this is CRAZY! It is the beyond of the beyond!!
GENUINELY MINDBLOWING … but TRUE! (CHECK IT OUT!)

As we celebrate Purim this year, we should remember that there are things happening on levels beyond that which we can even begin to comprehend, and that we are so fortunate/blessed to be part of this amazing life adventure! Purim is also a reminder that when things look bleak, something we are all facing now on a world scale, that they can still turn around for the better!

*** CHECK OUT THIS SUPERCRAZY, SEEMINGLY MIRACULOUS ASPECT OF THE MEGILLAH (Purim scroll), which recounts the Purim story! In this remarkable tale, Queen Esther steps up to save the Jewish people from imminent destruction! Even today, Jews celebrate the occasion with unbounded joy!

The ULTIMATE L’CHAYIM? There are those who believe that you should celebrate Purim by drinking so much booze that you can’t tell the difference between “Blessed be Mordecai!” (Esther’s uncle, and also a hero), and “Cursed be Haman,” the evil adversary who sought to destroy the Jews and who gets “BOOED” repeatedly during the retelling of the story every time his name is mentioned!

*** In the scroll’s narrative, there is a separate paragraph with a list naming each of Haman’s ten sons when they are killed by hanging. Here, peculiarly, there are also several half size letters and a large one. Based on gematria, when each Hebrew letter is assigned a numerological value, these letters correspond to 5707. (Detailed explanation below)

*** In the latter part of the Purim story, Haman and his sons had already been killed. The king then asks Queen Esther what he can do for her for helping save the kingdom? Surprisingly, her request is to hang the ten (evil) sons. Doesn’t seem to make much sense since they are already dead!

*** Jump forward to modern times, and the Nuremberg trials, where eleven N**i war criminals are sentenced to be hung for their crimes. (This in itself was unusual, since at that time, societies were no longer hanging people.) Goring commits su***de, which leaves ten of these evil men to be hung. The year is 1946, which is the equivalent of 5707 on the Jewish calendar. 5707, the same number referenced to hanging the ten evil ones! CRAZY!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Julius Streicher, the last of the N**i war criminals to be hung, right before his death, cries out: PURIMFEST 1946! SAY WHAT?

*** Really, what are the odds that a N**i war criminal would invoke an obscure Jewish holiday with his last breath? Amazingly ridiculous!

*** And how incredible are the odds that the different size letters in the Megillah, referring to the hanging of the ten sons, would correspond to a date in modern times when ten more evil ones were hung? Beyond of the beyond! MIRACULOUS!

*** God is not mentioned at all in the Megillah, but a hidden Force definitely seems to be working behind the scenes in the amazing way everything comes together. And if we look closely enough, we can see this same incredible Power still manipulating events in our own lifetime.

Ken Yehi Ratzon! (Let it be so!)

(Purim lesson for all times! – Stand with peaceful, democratic, freedom loving people against evil, bullying tyrants! Stand with Israel and the Jewish people!)

Hope you and yours have a spiritually connecting, meaningful and recharging Shabbat and a wonderful Purim celebration!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2vY9E18Rb8

Explanation:
“Megilat Esther lists the names of Haman’s 10 sons and according to the Halacha, three of the letters in these names are written in smaller font than the rest of the text – a tav, a shin and a zayin – and one letter is written in larger font – a vav. What do these unusually sized letters signify? For generations different explanations have been offered. In the 20th century, however, another amazing meaning was discovered. The large vav is numerically 6, corresponding to the sixth millennium; the small tav, shin and zayin are numerically 707; together, these numbers refers to the 707th year of the sixth millennium – in other words, the Jewish year 5707, which corresponds to 1946, the year in which these 10 high-ranking N**is were hanged. Thus, the unusually sized letters – vav, tav, shin and zayin – found in the names of Haman’s 10 sons allude to the year of the ex*****on of these 10 N**i war criminals.”

SHABBAT SHALOM, AM YISRAEL CHAI and L’CHAYIM!

THE JEWISH OLYMPICS! While the world completes at the Olympics, our Jewish Olympics is a year-round opportunity to grow into our most talented and skilled selves! Our time on the world stage is all about being life champions!

In contrast to the Olympics, our team goal is far greater than winning a sports tournament or a medal. Its value is far beyond whether we are the fastest runner, swimmer or greatest diver or acrobat, or whether we can score more points or goals than another team. Our efforts have real, meaningful life value, because we are actively participating in the game of life!

Everyone on our team is an MVP, a Mitzvah Valuable Person, and our All-Star team is made up of those who take a universally “wholistic” approach to Judaism, one that recognizes the benefits Judaism has to offer for positively contributing to a better, healthier future for all life.

Our Jewish team welcomes all other individual players and teams whose members are caring life forms, and share in our common goal of improving all our places in the “life standings” by joining together to enhance the quality and health of all people’s lives and our world.

Time for Jews, and all good, caring people to come together to bond in our unique life experience, and to confirm the preciousness of our team legacy as one whose destiny it is to increase the quality of life for all people and our world.
This is the only “game” where our life team, and all of us, can come out winners!

SHABBAT SHALOM, Hag Tu Bishvat Sameach, AM YISRAEL CHAI and L’CHAYIM!
Meme - TIKKUN OLAM TREE – A Tu Bishvat “Celebration of trees!”
As depicted by the actions in the TIKKUN OLAM TREE of LIFE meme, Judaism instructs us to do tikkun olam, to actively contribute in a positive way to the wholeness, healing and repair of our world and people’s lives.
It instructs us to celebrate and enjoy our remarkable gifts of life, including trees, while striving to do so in ways that are beneficial, and the least harmful to other people and life forms on our planet.

Our bodies are similar to the trunk of the tree, the physical part that others see. Through our actions, people who view us determine who we are and what we are about.
In order to be able to answer these same questions for ourselves, we must turn to a part of us that is partially hidden, our roots. We must appreciate our history and heritage to understand where we came from, if we are to know where we are going.
Just as the roots are the tree’s connection to its life source, so are our roots essential to our existence. Like all of life, God created people for a reason. In order to have meaningful lives, we must understand that purpose. If we wish to reach our highest level of life, to eventually bloom to our fullest potential and bear good fruit, we must develop self-awareness.

ESSENTIAL JEWISH TEACHINGS:
The main understandings of Judaism that we hope to convey are:
To be a “Light of the Nations,” a shining reflection of light and love that will dispel the darkness of ignorance that threatens us all.
To do “Tikkun Olam,” to positively contribute to the healing and repair necessary to increase the quality and health of our world and lives.
To be “B’tzelem Elohim,” in the Creator’s image, partners with the LifeForce in tending to our garden home world and maintaining our planet as a healthy, life growth place.
To strive for the time when God’s House of Prayer, the sacred space for lovingly connecting, will be for all people.

At Tu Bishvat, we remember the value of trees and all life’s precious gifts of nature and love, including ourselves! Hug, a tree, Sameach! (Adapted for Tu Bishvat from Hag Sameach – Happy Festival!)

SHABBAT SHALOM, Hag Tu Bishvat Sameach, AM YISRAEL CHAI and L’CHAYIM!

SHABBAT SHALOM, AM YISRAEL CHAI and L’CHAYIM! At this time of extreme challenges, when we are currently confronted with our own plagues, may we not be like Pharoah in this week’s Torah portion, who hardened his heart and suffered major damage as a result. Instead, may we bring love and light to dispel the darkness threatening Israel, our Jewish family and the world.

(Ten Plagues original art meme by Bruce David)

From this week’s Torah portion: The TEN PLAGUES AS YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE!

The plagues hit with the destructive force of a hurricane. The land and livestock were all ravaged by this awesome power, depicted in the picture as a tornado sweeping through the land.
The purple/magenta colors used to compose the whirlwind funnel shape of the twister are symbolic to the dual representation of this image as a wine cup.
The ten red drops of blood seen spilling over from the top of the wine cup denote the act of removing ten drops of wine from our wine cups at the Passover Seder.
This is also a reminder that our cups can't be full when others suffer!
Starting with the boat in the top of the wine cup, seen floating on the Nile River whose waters have been turned into blood, each of the ten plagues are portrayed within the shape of the wine cup.

HOW MANY CAN YOU FIND?

May your Shabbat and life be filled with love, light, freedom, wholeness and peace, and may your Shabbat celebration set your soul free!

SHABBAT SHALOM, Happy (secular) New Year and L’CHAYIM (to life)! Always standing up for Israel and our Jewish family! AM YISRAEL CHAI!
*** Love my fb family of friends for continuing to stand up for Israel and our Jewish family, especially in such challenging times! Stay strong! In 2026, please join us, and all good, caring people, in our efforts to create a healthier, happier, safer, saner world for our children and us all! L’CHAYIM!

As the secular New Year begins, we enter the first Shabbat of 2026! WHOO HOO! 2025 is done! Onward together!

As we celebrate this special time, it is a good opportunity to review, and remind ourselves of a significant aspect of our existence that has a major impact on the quality of our lives.

THE BEAUTY AND VALUE OF SHABBAT!
Rabbi Jonathan Sacks: “Make space in your life for the things that matter, for family and friends, love and generosity, fun and joy. Without this, you will burn out in mid-career and wonder where your life went.”

This is part what Shabbat does for us. Besides letting us rest, reconnect and recharge, it gives us another perspective, a life view, of our place in this magnificent creation! And oh, how special it is!

WHAT WE KNOW:
1) That there is a powerful God/energy Force influencing creation, existence and our lives!
2) That we live on an incredible one-of-a-kind garden planet specifically designed and developed to meet our distinctive life needs!
3) That Jews have a uniquely, miraculous history, legacy and destiny, geared towards making a better, healthier environment for all life on our world!
4) That Shabbat reminds us of all of the above, and how special, and precious, our lives, and all life, are!
*** Put them all together, and it is easy to see how important Shabbat is.
Judaism encourages us to celebrate our lives as the best way to enjoy our life gift, and Shabbat is a major part of this.

May our Shabbat, New Year and lives, be filled with the beauty and love of truth, light and life!

In 2026, please join us, and all good, caring people, in our efforts to create a healthier, happier, safer, saner world for our children and us all!

Have a wonderful 2026! SHABBAT SHALOM and L’CHAYIM! ONWARD TOGETHER!

SHABBAT SHALOM, CHAG CHANUKAH SAMEACH (HAPPY CHANUKAH) and L’CHAYIM (to life)! Always standing up for Israel and our Jewish family! (Meme based on Bruce David’s “Menorah LifeLights” Original art!) This picture includes many unusual representations of the Menorah:
HOW MANY UNIQUE MENORAHS CAN YOU FIND IN THIS DESIGN???

THINK ABOUT THIS! “Light” is a vital part of Chanukah, Shabbat, Judaism and creation! “Let there be light!” This is what we read right at the start of the Torah (Bible) relating to creation. But how would the Author of the Torah have known that “light” would later be shown to be the beginning of creation from a scientific perspective? Pretty crazy amazing that this would be included in a document given to primitive people who wouldn’t be able to relate to it, as such. Yet, there it is!

So thankful/blessed to be part of a people with such a uniquely special heritage, and destiny; to be a "Light of the Nations," a shining reflection of light and love to all peoples; to do Tikkun Olam, by striving to create a better, healthier, safer, saner world for all; and to create a "House of Prayer for all peoples!"

LATKES, DREIDELS and MIRACLES, OH MY!

At Chanukah, we recall how the Jews lost their temple and were run out of our land.
This is something the Torah (Bible) told us about long before it happened. Way back in Biblical times! The Torah says that our people would be run out of the land they were coming too. That they would be persecuted, forced into conversion, and assimilated. But eventually, the Torah said that the Jewish people would return to the land. Nothing like this has ever happened to any other people throughout history. Yet once again, against the most unbelievable odds, similar to the Maccabees in their quest for freedom, it happened.
When thinking of Chanukah, most people normally think about freedom and light. (OK, after latkes and dreidels, maybe.)
But most of the time when I think deeply about Chanukah, I think of miracles. And, as you know, I totally believe in miracles.
I think that everything about this life that we are part of is miraculous, which means that it is beyond our current level of understanding, statistically unlikely, and appears to be a reality even against the most overwhelming odds.
Chanukah is an extraordinarily, miraculous time set aside for connecting with, and sharing in, the miracles of life and freedom.
Just like with the Maccabees, may this be a time of light, freedom and regaining that which is most precious to us!
The best way to dispel the darkness is to shine our lights!
May the wonders and marvels of our world inspire you,
May the miraculous of our existence enrich your life,
and may the love we share bring us comfort, strength, wholeness and peace.

May you and yours be blessed with light and love on Shabbat/Chanukah and always!

SHABBAT SHALOM and HAPPY CHANUKAH everyone! L’CHAYIM!

SHABBAT SHALOM, HAPPY THANKSGIVING and L’CHAYIM!
HeartSong Celebration - Glass Mosaic by Bruce David

This glass mosaic design depicts Miriam and Moses joining the people in celebrating their freedom on the shores of the Red Sea. It portrays the people dancing and singing as a reflection of their love and gratitude. Like Thanksgiving, it additionally serves as a reminder of how we can properly show our appreciation for all we have to be thankful for in our own lives.

This five-foot round Glass Mosaic includes 7,000 - 10,000 pieces of glass and mosaic tiles, an extensive amount of hand painting, as well as mirrors and many types of specialty glass.
************
Let’s face it! Thanksgiving is an arbitrary holiday based on questionable events!

This means that the only way to find “real life” meaning to it, is to adapt it in a way to make it beneficial to our lives! For most, this means making it a time for families and friends to get together to share in giving thanks for those things that matter most in our lives!

THANKSGIVING is a mindfulness opportunity for reconnecting with our GRATITUDE ATTITUDE! It is a time to recognize and be thankful for the precious life gifts that most enhance the quality of our lives!
Thanksgiving encourages us to express our thanks for those things which are closest to our heart (families, friends, our lives and blessings galore)!

This also includes our Jewish heart, sharing just how grateful we are for Israel and our Jewish family! SO, SO SPECIAL! Beyond of the beyond!

Choosing for Judaism is choosing to be an active participant in life by positively enhancing the quality of people’s lives and our world. Israel/Judaism is vital to a healthier, improved future for all life.

“The ancient Jewish people gave the world the vision of eternal peace, of universal disarmament, of abolishing the teaching and learning of war.” (Menachem Begin)

All good, caring people should join together with Israel in shining our lights in love to achieve the Jewish life purpose of creating a “House of Prayer for All People!”

SHABBAT SHALOM, Happy Thanksgiving, AM YISRAEL CHAI, and L’Chayim! Blessings all around!

SHABBAT SHALOM and L’CHAYIM! WATCH AS THE HIDDEN BECOMES REVEALED!
Celebrating the Journey - Glass Mosaic by Bruce David
Approx. 5 ft in diameter
The bottom section of this glass mosaic contains Isaiah’s prophecy that the wolf, lamb, and other animals will live together in peace, and “a little child will lead them.” A second aspect of this art piece can be found in the words and message of the Kol Hanshema prayer from Psalms, which speaks of praising God with the instruments being played by the people in the upper part of the design. Continuing with this theme, the depiction of the city is composed of many different types of ancient and modern musical instruments.
WATCH AS THE HIDDEN BECOMES REVEALED!
The artistic rendition of the city further recognizes the value that including musical instruments can add to our own songs, the symphony of our lives. A closer view of the details in this town will reveal at least sixteen musical instruments.
Starting just above the wings of the dove on the left, the first building contains a piano. (Note: The English word “shalom” is incorporated into the bricks of the wall above the piano.)
In the building just to its left, the upper part of the tower is a golden bell. Just beneath is the bell clapper. In the middle section of this same building, just underneath the bell, is an ancient harp.
Moving to the left, in the golden amber entrance to the home, the arched doorway is a rounded triangle-style musical instrument. Additionally, the roof of this structure is a flute pipe. Several other ancient stringed instruments are also incorporated in this building, including a lyre, located in the top center of the home, and a sistrum-type instrument situated in the wall to the right of the door. The window above the right side of the entranceway opening is also a cymbal.
The multidimensional entranceway to the grayish structure beneath the large woman playing the flute consists of several rounded triangle style instruments with rings. On either side of the door are the thin handled bar rods which are used to play these instruments. Moreover, two flutes are positioned running up and down along the front sides of this building.
The front of the golden structure to the left of this building is also a harp-like stringed instrument.
The domed building on the left side of the city, just above and to the right of the elephant, contains a hidden tambourine incorporated into the lower section of the dome and in the upper part of the building. The wall just beneath the dome has numerous guitars woven into its design. Lightly etched into the guitars are images of people joining in the celebration.

Shabbat blessings for love, life, health, happiness, wholeness and peace coming your way!

Love and Shabbat Shalom!

Extraordinary Happenings - Blessings in Their Lives
https://www.lightofthenations.org/programs/book-haggadah/extraordinary-happenings---blessings-in-their-lives

Based on the personal experiences of Bruce and Diane David

Carl Jung, the renowned psychiatrist, spent much of his life researching ‘coincidences.’ Because of his fascination with this phenomenon, he coined the word ‘synchronicity,’ defined as a ‘meaningful coincidence of two or more events where something other than the probability of chance is involved.’ He certainly would have been extremely intrigued by reading the amazing number of times this has occurred to us. Our life adventures continuously surpass “kawinkidinks,” which are defined as extremely unusual coincidences.

Additionally, on a personal level, our life experiences are defining moments and major contributors as to why we believe there is an Intelligent Power engaging with, and influencing, humans, in this spacetime. These extremely unusual occurrences have opened our eyes to the endless possibilities for the future of existence beyond this lifetime. Read on and see what we mean.

What are the odds of any of these following events happening, much less all of them?

While these experiences are uniquely beyond of the beyond, in truth, the “ordinary” is extra-ordinary in our lives! And in yours!”

Love, Bruce & Diane

Its design is significant in that it depicts “SHALOM,” (wholeness and peace), as so many items of Judaica come together to form this representation of Jerusalem at peace! How many can you find?

It is a reminder to us as we celebrate Shabbat how we all must come together to achieve the Shalom (peace and wholeness) we all long for!

SHABBAT SHALOM, CHAG SUKKOT SAMEACH and L’CHAYIM (to LIFE!) PLUS: Happy 46th Anniversary” to us!

WHOO HOO! TWO! TWO! TWO GREAT HOLIDAYS! SHABBAT and SUKKOT!

Sukkot is a Torah commanded holiday like Passover! Yet, people who would never think to miss a Passover Seder, often don’t do much of anything for Sukkot. Go figure! It is weird that compared to most Jewish holidays, Sukkot just doesn’t get much respect.

Yet, in Biblical times, Sukkot was considered possibly THE most important festival of all. In fact, it was referred to simply as ha-hag, “the festival.” Sukkot is also the festival of the future, for our texts teach us that in the ultimate time of peace, all nations are to come to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot.

So, even though it was “the” holiday of the past, and will be the holiday of the future, right now, along with Shabbat, we want to make it the holiday of the present.

Sukkot and Shabbat are both about celebrating our precious life gift!

Do your soul a favor, and make the most of this unique opportunity to rejoice in the wonders and miracles of our lives! SO SPECIAL!
