Back the Line of Monroe County is all about supporting the people who show up for our community when we need them most — and we’re proud to support that mission! 🇺🇸

Today, we had the privilege of presenting Back the Line of Monroe County with a donation from the proceeds of last week’s 4th Annual SERVPRO of Bloomington Customer Appreciation Golf Scramble. ⛳️

We were excited to bring that donation along with us to the Bloomington Metropolitan Firefighters Union Local 586 Annual Fundraising Golf Scramble today and put our support for Monroe County’s first responders into action once again.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our golf scramble, sponsored the event, donated, and helped make this contribution possible. Your generosity is making a difference for the men and women who serve our community every day. 👨‍🚒👮‍♀️🚑

🇺🇸 September 11 — We Remember.

While we are disappointed that we won’t be gathering for our candlelight vigil this evening, the reason we gather remains just as important.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and we remember the Monroe County first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

🕯️ Our September 11 Candlelight Vigil is CANCELLED for this evening.

Although we cannot gather tonight, we will continue to honor and remember those we have lost at our October 24 Back the Line event. We hope you’ll join us then as we come together to show our support for the men and women who continue to serve our community.

Never forgotten. Always remembered. 🇺🇸

~ Hometown Heroes Weekend Update ~

This is not an announcement we wanted to make. Due to multiple extenuating circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Hometown Heroes Campout Weekend in its entirety. This includes the Friday Golf Scramble, Camping Weekend, and all other activities planned for September 11–13.

We know many of our first responders and their families look forward to this weekend, and some have already made reservations and plans to join us. We are truly sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this change may cause.

While the weekend will not happen as planned, we are not willing to let the year go by without celebrating our first responders. We are pivoting to a one-day Hometown Heroes event on Saturday, October 24! More details will be coming soon.

For those who have already reserved a campsite at Jellystone: If you cancel more than 10 days before your reservation, you may receive a full refund to the card used for payment, minus a $30 cancellation fee, or you may choose to have the entire amount issued as a camping credit toward a future reservation. Cancellations made within 10 days are not eligible for a refund.

If you booked your campsite specifically for Hometown Heroes and decide to cancel, please reach out to us directly. We understand this change affects plans you made because of our event, and we want the opportunity to work with you.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding. This was not an easy decision, but changing the plans does not change the reason behind them.

We love our first responders, we appreciate your families, and we still intend to give you a day that is all about you.

Please save the date for October 24. We look forward to sharing what we have planned!
