Happy Flag day!!

Yesterday was a great day! The troop helped host a flag retirement ceremony in Rockville with the help of the local DAR chapter, the county honor guard, and veterans affairs office. We retired hundreds of flags that have been collected in the community. You can drop flags that are in need of retiring at the local veterans organizations, the troop, and at Kirby Foods in Rockville. You can also give them to the Veterans office in the courthouse.

Thank you to those who made this possible. A few men are not pictured here, and all of them played a large part in making this happen!

The ceremony consisted of a reading of flag history, a flag inspection, a folding ceremony, and ceremonial retirement of the flag.
