Bloomingdale VFW Post 7539 invites the community to a Flag Dedication Ceremony TOMORROW, Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Founders Gazebo, located at Fairfield Way and Bloomingdale Road.
Held during National Flag Week, the ceremony will dedicate the new military branch flags first raised on Veterans Day 2025. The display includes six new flagpoles representing each branch of the United States Armed Forces, alongside the American and POW/MIA flags.
The project began at the request of VFW Post 7539 to complement the Veterans Memorial Monument, which honors all who have served. It was made possible through a DuPage County grant secured with support from Commissioner Sam Tornatore.
The new display enhances the area as a place of remembrance, reflection, and tribute to our veterans and military members. All are welcome to attend and enjoy food trucks on site!
