⭐️ BPEF Alumni Hall of Fame Spotlight: L. Dean Christianson ⭐️

Last, but certainly not least, we’re excited to spotlight one of this year’s honorees: L. Dean Christianson, Distinctive Service!

L. Dean Christianson, a 1954 BPHS graduate, has spent nearly 90 years giving back to Blooming Prairie through hard work, entrepreneurship, and community service. He and his wife, Sharon, operated the ISD 756 school buses for 32 years, while Dean also owned several local businesses and served as a Steele County Commissioner, volunteer firefighter and Fire Chief, Elevator Board member, and Boy Scout leader.

Dean’s commitment to Blooming Prairie has continued throughout his life. Even as he approaches 90, he still shows up each morning to work alongside his family at Smooth Moves. His dedication, generosity, and willingness to step up whenever his community needed him have left a lasting mark on Blooming Prairie.

Please join us in celebrating Dean and all of our 2026 honorees at the BPEF Alumni Banquet this Saturday! 🎉

⭐️ BPEF Alumni Hall of Fame Spotlight: Karen Inwards ⭐️
We’re excited to spotlight another one of this year’s honorees: Karen Inwards, Female Athlete Hall of Fame!

Karen (Pesch) Inwards, a 1987 Blooming Prairie graduate, was a standout basketball and softball athlete whose leadership helped elevate girls athletics at BPHS. As a basketball player, she helped lead the team to its first conference championship, served as team captain, and set several school records, particularly in rebounding. In softball, she was a key catcher on some of the program’s most successful teams. Known for her work ethic, positivity, and leadership, Karen became a role model for younger athletes during a time when girls sports were still growing in Blooming Prairie.

Karen’s commitment to Blooming Prairie continued long after graduation. She has dedicated her career to supporting students as a paraprofessional in the school district, working with special needs students and assisting with the adaptive bowling team and basketball game operations. Her Athletic Hall of Fame induction recognizes both her accomplishments as a student-athlete and her years of service to the students and athletic programs of Blooming Prairie.

Please join us in celebrating Karen and all of our 2026 honorees at the BPEF Alumni Banquet this Saturday! 🎉

Congratulations to the BPHS 2026 Homecoming King Gabe Staloch and Queen Jaspher Doocy!

We are especially proud to celebrate Jaspher, who has represented the students of 756 on the Blooming Prairie Education Foundation Board for the past two years. From her junior year to now as a senior, Jaspher has brought thoughtful ideas, student perspective, and a genuine commitment to making Blooming Prairie a great place for students.

⭐️ BPEF Alumni Hall of Fame Spotlight: Rod Koster ⭐️

We’re excited to spotlight one of this year’s honorees: Rod Koster, Male Athlete Hall of Fame!

Rod Koster, a 1975 Blooming Prairie graduate, was one of the school’s greatest multi-sport athletes, excelling in basketball, football, and baseball. A two-time All-State selection and multiple-time All-Conference honoree, Rod led the Blossoms to a Gopher Conference basketball championship, averaged more than 18 points per game in his final two seasons, and earned Team MVP honors as both a junior and senior. His athletic accomplishments also included a 105-yard interception return and 167 tackles in football, along with a .448 batting average and All-Conference recognition in baseball.
