Funding from CCF grants strengthens the ability of Catholic social service providers like Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford to respond effectively to communities in need.

Jessica Knowlin and Frank Medina are two of our staff superstars at the Limitless program in Newington. Today (July 23) is the feast day of the namesake of Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish. Known for her visions of Christ crucified and her intense focus on charity, along with St. Catherine of Siena and St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, she shares the title of co-patroness of Europe.

Saint Bridget of Sweden was married, a mother of eight, and the foundress of a monastery for men and women. She spent her final days in Rome seeking to correct Church abuses for which she received much opposition.
