🍀A huge thank you from the Chequest Eagles 4-H Club! 🍀

Last Thursday, the Chequest Eagles 4-H Club hosted their annual Chicken Dinner Fundraiser and would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event. Your support helps make 4-H opportunities possible for our members and is greatly appreciated!

The club would also like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as they worked through some unexpected mechanical difficulties that delayed food preparation.

Summer Camps Kick-Off Next Week! 🔆

There’s something for everyone this summer! Youth will have the chance to design and build like an engineer, explore the world of esthetics, investigate like a detective, and much more through fun, hands-on activities. 🕵️‍♀️🔬⚙️

Registration for the Wild Roots Adventure camp closes TODAY!

Join us for a fun-filled day of outdoor activities, smore's and so much more. 🐟🎣🚣 You won't want to miss out!

Get Ready for an Outdoor Adventure! ⛺🐠

Join us for the Wild Roots Adventure Camp on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lake Wapello State Park (15248 Campground Rd, Drakesville, IA 52552)!

Open to 4th-12th graders enrolled in 4-H in Region 25 & 26 (Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Lucas, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello and Wayne).

Activities Include: hiking, kayaking, fishing, outdoor games, leadership activities, nature-inspired crafts, hands-on campfire cooking, S’mores and so much more!

🚨 Registration Deadline Extended! 🚨

Good news — the deadline to register for BEEF BONANZA has been extended to Wednesday, May 27th! 🐄

This hands-on event is open to all youth — you do not have to be in 4-H to attend!

Participants will explore four exciting topics:

🥩 Beefilicious – Hear from a local meat market
🐮 Calf Pulling – Learn from an Iowa State veterinarian about different calf-pulling situations using a dystocia model
🌽 Cattle Nutrition – Discuss proper feeding strategies and nutrition management
🧼 Cattle Fitting – Watch demonstrations on proper fitting techniques for show day with a live calf

🔥 Lunch will be grilled and provided by the Davis County Cattlemen!
