The North Club Pioneers of H.G. McCully Upstate Chapter #12 are turning yarn into comfort! ๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿ’™ The club purchased 70 hanks of yarn to create lap blankets for patients at RWJBarnabas Community Medical Center's Hospice unit โ€” with approximately 23 blankets expected from this batch alone.

Behind the hooks and needles are the **Happy Hookers**, a dedicated group of about 14 volunteers who gather at the clubhouse in Holiday Heights every Monday afternoon. Many also keep hooking during the week at home, crafting blanket after blanket for those who need warmth and comfort most.

Once again, our Pioneers are answering the call of those in need! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

The members of the HG McCully Upstate Chapter 12 Pioneers wish everyone a safe, joyful, and blessed summer!

Please note that our clubs do not hold meetings during the months of July and August. However, our commitment to service never takes a break. We will continue to answer the call to serve those in need and support our communities whenever and wherever we can.

Enjoy the summer, stay safe, and remember that service is a year-round commitment!

On March 26, 2026, North Jersey Club member Gail Byrne met with Jayne Murphy-Morris of the Jersey Battered Women's Shelter (JBWS) on behalf of HG McCully Upstate Chapter 12. The North Jersey Club donated 10 pillows and an assortment of clothing items โ€” including pajamas, shirts, pants, and socks โ€” all of which will go directly to victims of domestic violence.

Jayne is a wonderful woman with a heart for her community, and she extended a gracious offer to provide a presentation to our chapter whenever we are ready. We look forward to that opportunity!

This donation is a beautiful reflection of what our Pioneers are all about โ€” seeing a need and meeting it with compassion and action. The North Jersey Club continues to show up for the communities we serve, and we are so proud of Gail and the entire North Jersey Club for making this happen. ๐Ÿ’œ
