Owensburg now has a new Little Free Library available for everyone to use! πŸ₯³

The newest addition is located at the Owensburg Fire Department and Town Hall building, right outside the door by the vending machine. If you find yourself visiting Owensburg, be sure to stop by, take a book, or leave one to share with others. πŸ“˜

A special thank you to Rich Tarr, and this group of Eastern Greene HS students, for being instrumental in constructing and launching this Little Free Library. And thank you to our board president, Martha Marmouze, for coordinating it all!

And a huge thank you to the Greene County Foundation for funding this Little Free Library! Their generosity helps support literacy, learning, and community connection across the county.

Happy reading, Owensburg! πŸ“šβ€οΈ

Today is the day! πŸ₯³

Join us for live music, food, and a silent auction in support of our Literacy Coalition ❀️ Tickets are available for purchase at the door!

Unfortunately, we need to share that due to issues with the permit, we are unable to serve alcohol at this event. There will still be plenty of food and drinks available, just no wine. πŸ™ We hope that this will not dissuade our supporters from attending, as it will still be a lovely evening of community support, but please reach out to our coordinator if you would prefer to be refunded for your ticket.

All of the proceeds from this event and silent auction will help to fund our educational programs and materials for our one-on-one tutoring sessions, which further promotes literacy for every individual in our county. We need and appreciate your support!

We hope to see you this evening at the BEGPL Main Bloomfield branch (125 S Franklin St) from 6-8pm! πŸ“š
