Bisti is a 2 year old Carson National Forest - Jicarilla mustang gelding. He has been gentled, accepts the halter easily, leads, and navigates simple obstacles. He picks up his front hooves for cleaning and is working on his hinds. Bisti is looking for a forever partner to guide his progress further. He has a clear title and is offered at a fair price based on his level of training

If you are interested in Bisti, please let us know and we can talk to determine if you and Bisti will be a good match for his next phase of mustang training.

These are two Carson National Forest/Jicarilla mustangs that lucked out. They love standing in the sprinklers and staying wet on these hot days. Yesterday Beau carried me to 10,800 feet in elevation in the mountains. The day before that, Beau and Double did 17 miles in the desert and climbed 1200 feet in elevation. Having purpose, pasture and cool water is the good life for a horse.

Double and Beau are both 4 year old geldings.

The BLM is conducting initial scoping for an environmental review to analyze humane, science‑based tools for managing wild horse and b***o herds on public lands. Today, herd sizes are more than three times above what the range can sustainably support, and your feedback can help shape solutions that protect both healthy animals and healthy rangelands.

The assessment will analyze and compare a range of management alternatives to reduce overpopulation and slow growth, including gather and fertility control methods, to improve how the BLM manages and protects herd and land health. The assessment won’t authorize new actions, but it will streamline future reviews and strengthen outcomes for wild horses, wildlife, and public lands.

Share your substantive comments through the BLM National NEPA Register’s Participate Now feature through July 2, 2026.

This is Blossom, now about 9 years old, at a show last weekend. When I went to pick her up in 2018, I could see she came off the range so weak and emaciated I was afraid that she would fall in the trailer. She was aged at 8 months by the vet at the wild horse pens, but was 2.5. By the time she was 4 years old, she went to the top of Mt. Rushmore, Fort Robinson NE and was a successful english and western show horse, and 4H horse and now she has been passed on to this little girl for hunter jumper. She was just a scrappy, half starved small filly and look at her now! Just shows what time, care and training can make of a horse. She is from the Carson National Forest, New Mexico. 13.3 hands. Galiceno/Garrano breed markers.
