The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. Founded in 1972, NSSLHA is the national organization for graduate and undergraduate students interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication. NSSLHA is the only official national student ass
ociation recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Our local chapter of NSSLHA at Montclair State University (MSSLHA) ensures that students will have access to resources, support and information to succeed in the field of speech-pathology and speech-hearing research. MSSLHA gives members the opportunity to participate in social events, community service activities and educational programs related to speech-hearing sciences and disorders. MSSLHA offers great opportunities for networking within our major and promotes departmental and community involvement.
