Doll's House Foundation

Doll's House Foundation Doll's house Foundation is built on promoting the ideals of love through charitable giving. Doll came from a family committed to the charity of giving.

Doll’s House Foundation is a legacy inspired by Josephine “Doll” Johnson who adopted the simple principal of helping those in need. Doll had a philosophy of helping that transcended race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and socioeconomic conditions. This matriarch of her family, she was the second in her family traditionally nicknamed “Doll”. Many of the individuals of this family were succe

ssful leaders and helped drive the economic, emotional and mental progress of many they encountered. Doll and other members of this legacy were never fond of regiments of organizational structure. She believed that you’re “good deeds” would “unveil the ingredients” of your character. She would offer support to various public service organizations and never required accolades. She was reared in Alabama where she was groomed in the tradition of good cooking, good fellowship, and southern hospitality. Advocating for the elderly, disabled populations, education, delivering meals on wheels, and being well versed in affairs related to health care, were just a few of her attributes. Lastly, her home was always open as a safe place to rest, hence the name “Doll’s House”.

Manhood: we have seen it change, grow, and be destroyed. Have we ever taken a moment to discuss what the term really means?

Happy Mother’s Day from Doll’s House Foundation.

Today, we celebrate every woman who nurtures, protects, guides, teaches, uplifts, and holds others with love. Motherhood is more than one title or one role — it is a sacred thread of care woven through families, communities, and generations.

This year, our House is also in mourning. We lift up the names of Barbara Ann Williams and Anita Swilling, two foundational mothers of the House whose love, strength, and example continue to guide us.

And as always, we remember Josephine Johnson AKA Aunt Doll, our namesake — the woman whose legacy this organization was built to honor, preserve, and carry forward.

To the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, mentors, caregivers, chosen mothers, and women who lead with love: we celebrate you today and always

Good morning, family.

For years, Dollhouse Foundation has hosted MLK Coffee Time Trivia because Martin Luther King Jr. Day is often observed… but not truly celebrated. Life is heavy. We move fast. And a Monday off can feel impossible to “do right.”

So we built something simple, joyful, and meaningful:

☕️ MLK Coffee Time Trivia — Jeopardy-Style (Massive Multiplayer!)
📅 MLK Day at 10:00 AM (Virtual on Zoom)
🎮 How it works: I read the clue → you type your answer in the chat → first correct answer wins the points.
✅ Play solo or with whoever’s in the room with you (no teams required).
📚 Questions cover Dr. King + other freedom fighters (fun + informative, about an 8th-grade level).

This isn’t homework. It’s a coffee-time celebration—a way to keep the dream close, together, right where we are.

Drop a ☕️ if you’re coming and tag a friend who should pull up with you.
