The organization works to achieve this goal by finding families who are in need of thi

s financial support, purchasing specific equipment or services that must be bought to care for the patient, and comforting the family throughout this difficult time.

So grateful to Nicole Cannon for live streaming her 5 mile run on lake shore drive in Chicago this past weekend and raising money for the PCA ALS Foundation! Throughout the run, Nicole stopped for push-ups with every $5 raised and jumped multiple times in Lake Michigan for every $100 raised! Nicole works in hospice care and understands how important providing quality care is to patients. We are so grateful to all the health care providers who work everyday to help patients feel comfortable and safe.

On June 2nd 1925, Lou Gehrig became the Yankees' starting first baseman. Sixteen years later on June 2, 1941 Gehrig passed away from ALS - an unknown disease at the time that would become known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The MLB recognizes today as the 4th annual Lou Gehrig Day - a day to honor Gehrig and all those who have had or are currently battling ALS. Gehrig was nicknamed the “Iron Horse” and recognized as one of the best baseball players of his time. After being diagnosed, Gehrig still considered himself, “…the luckiest man on the face of the earth.” Today we honor his courage, strength, and optimism.
