Welcome to the Ark, Rita! Rita is 10 months old and just adorable! She is pending adoption with her new friend Bucky. Bucky has been less than impressed with this young girl but he is slowly warming up!

I'm so sad to announce the passing of Oliver and Olive. Oliver was the very first Ark baby to be adopted out. Many months later Luna and Olive were adopted to the same family. Luna previously passed but Oliver and Olive were happy and content with their owner's other sweet ferret, MuSchu. Unfortunately, the family lost all three babies to a fire last week. My prayers are with them and these precious babies as they mourn their loss. DIP Oliver, Olive and MuSchu 💔🌈

These two cuties are still looking for their forever home. Their owner will be bringing them to the rescue next week. Their owner had this to say about them:
"Kuma: An avid explorer and digger who loves wrestling with his brother. He's about 2.5 years old. His favorite things to do are chase wand toys and stash items he deems of value"

"Sabo: A highly energetic ball of chaos. Very sweet and friendly. He's about a year old and loves hand wrestling and being bounced around gently in a blanket. He also enjoys snorkeling."

Welcome to the Ark, Bucky! Bucky is a 3 year old male. He's been vetted and UTD on his vaccines. Bucky is pending adoption along with Rita (not posted yet) whom will be surrendered to us Sunday or Monday.

We are getting an influx of surrenders right now. We have a 3 year old male at the rescue, a 2 or 3 year year old male coming next week, a 1 year old female coming next week and possibly a trio in the next few weeks. I've been out of pocket for a family emergency for three weeks and then get home to ferret emergencies. It's a lot for me and I'm overwhelmed. My angel of an adoption coordinator has been helping keep me together, but she also has a lot of personal things going on. We are trying. If you have sent an adoption application in and haven't heard from us, message us! If you have already been approved to adopt but haven't heard from us, message us! We are only human and life is just overwhelming sometimes! Thank you for your support!

DIP my precious Noel. You left a giant hole in my heart. I cannot believe you left us 💔

This loss hit me hard. It was so unexpected. Noel was one of the healthiest ferrets at the rescue. Or so I thought. I came home from two weeks gone due to a family emergency and less than 24 hours later had to rush her to the emergency vet. She passed away about 2:00 this morning. And I don't know why. Hopefully a necropsy will give me answers.

I ransomed Noel in December 2023. Some kid was trying to sell her on FB. He showed a video of his two big dogs chasing her around the house and terrorizing her while he and his parents laughed. She was only 10 months old and had to live like that for months and months. When she wasn't being terrorized by the dogs, she was kept in a wire floored cage, no blankets, no toys, just one little hammock. It broke my heart. I promised her I would keep her safe with me. She became best friends with Pancake, Possum, Pippin and Bandit. And now she's gone. I hope she is having a happy reunion with Bandit. This grief is almost unbearable, especially since I wasn't there for her in her final moments.

I love you, Noel. I love you so much precious girl 😭💔
