It’s A New Beginning!
Hello everyone,

God is so good and our prayers have been answered!!

Adrian completed all the requested tests by the transplant clinic early September. He was told it was going to be submitted to his insurance and that he’d have answer what his next step would be in about 2 weeks. Nearly a month later…. he was finally informed TODAY, that he has been added to the transplant list!!!

There is no surgery day as of right now. What happens now is that he waits for a phone call at any moment and goes in for the procedure.

We are beyond happy. Our bubba is finally getting his new beginning. We want to thank everyone for the continued support and ask that you continue to pray for him! ❤️

We have not received any updates from Adrian’s insurance company. We are patiently waiting and hoping for great news. Adrian is continuing his dialysis and doing great!

It’s a beautiful day here with A New Beginning,
A little Update on Adrian’s procedures!

Last week he had two teeth extractions, a root canal and 2 fillings. It’s finally starting to feel like Adrian is getting closer to where he needs to be. This was the last procedure the transplant clinic requested from him.

The transplant clinic is sending all the procedures they requested to be completed to his insurance company. From here we are waiting for approval from the insurance company to move on. They have informed us it can take up two weeks to hear back from them. To say we are excited is an understatement!

We are currently asking for continued prayers! Again, we’d like to thank everyone for your continued support!

Now I’m not trying to brag but anyone who’s had Mrs.Rangel’s food knows that her cooking is the best. She’s been catering events for nearly 10 years now and cooking in bulk for nearly 20 years. Anyone who knows the Rangel family knows we love her food and we’re a big crowd to feed! Don’t miss out on this sale!!

Here’s some of what Adrian aka bubba has been through. He had a fistula placed around January 2024 for him to start his dialysis and it takes around 6 weeks to heal, basically be strong enough to handle dialysis but his body decided that 6weeks was to long and not long after he had the fistula placed, his body decided he needed to start dialysis asap. After being hospitalized they prepped him to have a dialysis port, which he started dialysis that night after they put the port in. Now he does dialysis 3x a week for around 3 1/2 hours each time, still working a full time job, and on the days he does dialysis goes in @ 3am to make up the time lost ❤️ True fact: He had 15lbs of water that was pulled on his first round of dialysis…

Many have asked why can’t family donate a kidney? Well that’s because he also needs a pancreas. Without both they will not allow the transplant which is why Adrian is doing dialysis for now.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to A New Beginning!
Join us to follow Adrian’s journey.

Here’s a little background on what our goal is and what led us here:

Adrian was 4 years old when his pancreas began to fail and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He has been managing his diabetes for the past 30+ years. Due to his diabetes he has been in and out of hospitals all his life. In November 2023, he was diagnosed with kidney failure. Currently his kidney and pancreas are now both shutting down. In February 2024, he was started on dialysis. Adrian is now working on his journey to meet all the criteria to get added on to the transplant list. Our hope is to make this as smooth as possible and give him all the support we can offer.

We’ve created this page to share ways we can all help and contribute towards his journey. We believe his team of doctors are doing everything to get him where he needs to be. Our biggest goal is to help raise money towards his medical costs and give him strength & support through this journey. Stay tuned for the fundraisers we will be having.
