HELP NEEDED!!!

Folks, this is the time when we need YOU!!!

We talk about needing money, but this is the only thing a money cant help... a home where this sweet senior can spend her retirement years!

Apache's owner was heartbroken to surrender her but due to an eviction, they had no other choice. Apache is 16 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and FeLV/FIV negative. She is very sweet and in pretty good shape for 16!

I need yall tag a friend and ask them to share this post!
you never know who has a soft spot for a ole kitty that needs a lap and soft blanket to call her own!!!

ITS HOT! PLEASE PUT OUT WATER for the stray animals and wildlife.
you don't have to put out food, they will find their own, but as hot as its been, every available water source dried up.... they need just a little bit of help to make it in the next few weeks!

we can not do anything about the weather, but we can sure do just a little bit to help the animals. you might be their only chance.

participation is our greatest need !

WHAT would YOU like to participate in?
because everything we have tried so far not working out.

Would you like to help -
- run a raffles ( collect items, list items, deliver items )
- run a food drives
- drive cats in need
- share posts to groups that allow sharing ( not animal groups)
- run a help line for cats in need of food/litter ( pick up, delivery to those in need)
- help with fundraisers?
- pass out flyers
- something else?

We truly believe part of our problem is not having a set physical location. A building that would allow us to
- have volunteers come and help with campaigns
- have food drives
- have cats up for adoptions ( with a partner rescue on that one)
- give away food if needed
- host vaccine clinics if there is a need in the community for those
- have art classes
- have organizations come volonteer for projects such as winter shelter cat house building
- give us more credibility that we are not just a fb fly by night thing
- hold fundraisers
- have a used items store

But building cost $....
Our operational cost for the day ( each day) is about $200 NOT including major surgeries, minor surgeries or emergencies ... that's just food, litter, ongoing meds and care...

Everytime we run a fundraiser we get bombarded with requests for intake ... because posts are being shared.... we have to be able to take care of the cats we already have here ...

just some thinking out loud kinda thing...

Thank you everyone that stopped by our table at the Grady county fair.
Its always neat to visit with people that like cats just as much as we do!!

Appreciate everyone that made a purchase to help the cats .

Your purchase helps cats just like Patch, to get a chance at life!
Patch was found to have the hardest ( in our opinion) from of FIP, when the nasty fluids are filling up the chest cavity basically making him drown. He was rushed to the vet Tuesday for Xrays by his foster and we rushed him Wednesday to the vet to draw off the fluid, to give him a chance.

Over 90 ml were taken off giving him ability to breathe a little better and a chance for the treatment to start working.

Just to put it in perspective

Normal Pleural Fluid: A healthy kitten only has about 0.1 to 0.4 mL of lubricating fluid surrounding the lungs.

Noticeable Respiratory Distress: It takes around 35 to 40 mL (~30 mL/kg) of free fluid in the chest space to cause visible breathing difficulty.

Critical / Complete Fill: Accumulating 75 to 80+ mL (~60+ mL/kg) of free fluid in the chest cavity compresses the lungs almost entirely, causing severe respiratory distress or failure.

At the moment he is receiving FIP treatment twice a day, 2 other different shots, and Sub Q fluids. Next 30 days will be crucial !
