Update: Herd Registrations

The deadline for the herd registration program is June 30th, 2026.

The herd registration information has been posted previously. We would like you to use the spreadsheet that is on our website under herd registration. The program was designed to help people register their horses that wanted to double register. So it was for horses that have already been registered with other registries.

The deadline to register any horses that do not have DNA that are imported is May 31st 2026.

Please take this into consideration for the final push to get anything that the registrar needs, including photos and any paperwork to finalize your registrations.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you all for inquiring about the Free herd registration.

There was some confusion earlier as everyone was waiting for the details, as we were not sure of everything and messages have been sent to myghra@tyahoo, ghracustomerrelations@gmail, our website chat, and FB chat too. We have tried our best to find them all but if you have not heard back from us, please reach out again. If you need help with the process, we are happy to help. We will walk you through it. This is a special program promotion. Do NOT reach out to Brenda Hearon as she is not working on this project.

Free Herd Registration - Rules & Submission Process April 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026

Good Evening,

We are pleased to announce that the rules for our Free Herd Registration Program (minimum of 15 horses) are now available. Please find the full details attached. At this time, these rules will not be published on our website; however, we are happy to provide a PDF copy upon request.

Once you begin preparing your submissions, we will provide you with the required Excel spreadsheet​ by email to ensure all necessary information is completed accurately.

For this promotional program, please direct all inquiries to [email protected]. Kindly do not contact the registrar or use the general GHRA email for questions related to this program.

If you have already reached out with questions, we appreciate your patience as we work to respond as promptly as possible​, prior to the rollout. Please note that our team is currently attending the Ohio Equine Affaire, which may cause slight delays in response time. We appreciate your understanding and hope the attached materials address most of your questions. We do understand that there might be some extenuating circumstances that will need to be handled over the phone. Please reach out to us by the provided email. We will be as timely as possible to assist you with this registration process​, and make further contact if necessary.

Important Reminder:
This program is being handled exclusively​ by an alternate process; therefore, again do not send inquiries to the general GHRA email or to our registrar, Brenda Hearon, as she is not managing this program. CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW UPDATE

Dear Members,

We would like to share an important update regarding this year’s OKC show. After careful consideration, we have made the decision to withdraw from the event. While we had greatly anticipated this opportunity, it is important to us that any championship event reflects the level of quality and experience our members expect and deserve.

We are excited to shift our focus toward creating a new and engaging opportunity for this year. We are currently exploring plans for a futurity, along with a more relaxed and educational weekend that may include judges’ training, evaluations, and clinician-led sessions. Our goal is to provide a meaningful and enjoyable experience that brings our community together.

We are currently still looking at a few different options but we do not feel that they are going to work out for this year. We are running more data to research for next year as well.

We look forward to sharing more details soon and welcome your ideas as we move forward.

However, You will be required to provide a release if necessary. The form will be provided here but it is also on our website.
